2015 Men’s Handicap Match Play and Senior Handicap Match Play Tournament Information

No Qualifying for Handicap Match-Play: The brackets will be seeded based on the May 1st USGA handicap. The handicap used for the match will be the USGA handicap in effect the day of the match. Strokes will be awarded from the low player’s handicap.

Matches: All matches for the Men’s Division will be played from the white tees at 100% handicap. All matches for the Seniors Division will be played from the gold tees 100% handicap. Seeding will be based on USGA handicap as of May 1st. Handicaps for each match will be the USGA handicap in effect the day the match is played.

Match Dates: First round matches are will begin on May 2. Golfers have one week to schedule and play their match. This procedure is followed until the champion is crowned. The golfer who is unable to play the match during the allotted week shall forfeit.

Eligibility: The Men’s division is open to all male golfers who own property at Lake Monticello, or maintain an associate membership. The Senior’s division is open to all male golfers 55 and over as of May 12 who own property at Lake Monticello, or maintain an associate membership. Note- players may participate in both the Men’s and Senior’s division by being eligible and paying both entry fees.

Entry Fee: The entry fee of $10.00 must be paid when signing up. Players competing in both championships are required to pay both entry fees. The entry fee does not include regular golf fees. Golfers are subject to regular golf fees.

Note: This is a separate event from the Match Play Championship and golfers may play in both events by paying separate entry fees.
