Presenters:

Tracey Marshall is the president of Threat Management Matters Inc. She has over 20 years in law enforcement experience with both the Toronto Police Service and the Durham Regional Police Service, serving most recently as a Detective in the Threat Management Unit. Tracey has specialized training in the field of Threat Assessment, Sexual Violence, Domestic Violence, Criminal Harassment/Stalking and Threatening Correspondence.

Dawn Novak is the mother of Natalie Novak. At 20 years old, Natalie was in her third year at Ryerson University when she was murdered by an abusive ex-boyfriend. Dawn will share her first-hand knowledge and insight to raise awareness about violence against women, how to recognize it and how to address it. As part of her presentation, Dawn will show the 30 minute film, “If Only… Nat’s Story”. Since Natalie’s murder in May of 2006, Ed and Dawn Novak have been activists for violence prevention.
