SLOUGHI FANCIERS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA (SFAA) Large Gazehound Racing Association - 200 yard sprints Council Bluffs, IA November 20, 2004

ELIGIBILITY Open to purebred Afghan Hounds, Basenji, Borzoi, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, IrishWolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds, and Sloughi. Chart Polski and Cirneco dell’Etna may run provisionally. Silken Windhounds and Galgos Espanol are invited to participate.Hounds must be one year of age or older to be eligible.

Each hound must have a completed and signed entry form. Those with First Time Entered (FTE) hounds must attach a photocopy of your dog’s registration to your entry form, along with a one-time $2.00 registration fee. If your adopted NGA Greyhound does not have an AKC, ILP, NGA or other registration number, please make sure ALL other information is filled out on the entry form, including ear tattoo numbers, certificate and volume number. HOUNDS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ENTER WITHOUT ACOMPLETED AND SIGNED ENTRY FORM. A completed entry includes the photocopy of the dog’s registration for FTEs!!!

ENTRIES Pre-entries: $10.00 first, second and third hound, same owner $2 per hound thereafter. Pre- entries close Thursday, November 18 at 9:00 pm. Pre-entries may be made by phone, e-mail, or snail mail. Same-day entries: $15 per dog. Entries close 8:30 am at the race secretary’s table. OTHER INFO Inspection and roll call will begin at 9:30 am. Race meets will be 3 programs, 4 dog races, 200-yard straight sprints. NOTE: All breeds will be handslipped Schooling runs will be required for all FTE dogs before they may compete. All breeds must run with muzzles and racing blankets. A limited number of muzzles and blankets will be available for loan. FTE dogs may benefit from muzzle training at home before the meet. Ribbons and rosettes for point winners.

FACILITIES Shade is available under the oak trees nor far from the field as long as they have leaves. Water is available The race meet building will be the garage on site. Track is on entirely fenced field. Light food, coffee and drinks available for a small fee.

DIRECTIONS Take I 29 to exit 61 Crescent. Drive to Crescent, turn left at T junction on highway 185 /old Lincoln road. Drive through and out of Crescent until you see a cattle feeding lot. Turn right on dirt “Mahogany Road” in front of the cattle feeding lot. Stay on that road, ignore all turns, for the next 2 1/5 miles. At the foot of a tall metal windmill left of the road, you will see a pole with the number 24827. Drive up the hill to the Shi'Rayân Sloughis property. The track set-up is at the top of the hill.
