Correspondence

The Committee adopt the report on a letter dated 2 March 2005 from the Premier regarding the Independent Commission Against Corruption Amendment Bill 2005 (Item 3(b)).

Consideration of Bills

The Committee adopt the report on the Crimes Amendment (Grievous Bodily Harm) Bill 2005 (Item 4(b)). The Committee adopt the report on the National Parks and Wildlife (Adjustment of Areas) Bill 2005 (Item 4(e)).

2. INCOMING CORRESPONDENCE

Item 3(b)(ii) Letter dated 8 March 2005 from the Minister for Justice regarding the Civil Liability Amendment (Offender Damages) Bill 2005 (Committee Paper 4226a).

RESOLVED on the motion of Mr Turner, seconded by Ms Burney, that the Committee adopt this report and write again to the Minister for Justice to seek an explanation of why the Bill has retrospective application.

3. CONSIDERATION OF BILLS UNDER THE LEGISLATION REVIEW ACT 1987

Item 4(a) Classification (Publications, Films and Computer Games) Enforcement Amendment (X 18+ Films) Bill 2005* Committee Paper 4236

RESOLVED on the motion of Mr Turner, seconded by Ms Burney, that the Committee adopt the report on the Bill.

Item 4 (c) Criminal Appeal Amendment (Jury Verdicts) Bill 2004* Committee Paper 4210

RESOLVED on the motion of Ms Burney, seconded by Mr Harwin, that the Committee adopt the report on the Bill.

Item 4 (d) Criminal Procedure Amendment (Evidence) Bill 2005 Committee Paper 4244

RESOLVED on the motion of Mr Harwin, seconded by Mr Turner, that the Committee adopt the report on the Bill.

Item 4 (f) Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards (New South Wales) Bill 2005 Committee Paper 4242

RESOLVED on the motion of Ms Burney, declared carried by the Committee, that the Committee adopt the report on this Bill.

4. LEGISLATION REVIEW DIGEST Approval of the Legislation Review Digest No 3 of 2005 for tabling.

RESOLVED on the motion of Ms Burney, seconded by Mr Turner, that, subject to any minor corrections, Legislation Review Digest 3 of 2005 be adopted and tabled.
