Program Audience Evaluation Specialist Position Type: Full-time, Hourly Department: Milwaukee County Zoo Compensation Range: $39,061.86 - $44,242.43 Closing Date: October 29, 2017 @ 5:59pm CST Job Summary: The Program Audience Evaluation Specialist, designs, conducts, analyzes and interprets Zoo audience research to provide data for Zoo management to use in decision making and to provide data about Zoo programs to the Society and funders/donors. Job Responsibilities: • Design and conduct visitor research projects to meet needs of the Zoo and Zoological Society. Develop methodology and collect data from visitors including the annual visitor exit polling survey. Create and maintain database files to analyze and interpret data. • Design & conduct research projects to assess impact of Zoo & Education Department programs. Work to develop evaluation questions & measurable objectives. Develop methodology and collect data from program/event participants. Create & maintain database files to analyze & interpret data. • Write and report on results of research to Zoo senior staff and Zoological Society staff and/or other stakeholder groups. Assist with reporting for research conducted as part of a grant or sponsorship. • Act as Learning Management Systems (LMS) Admin for the Zoo. Work with safety and training specifications to assign training requirements to Zoo staff. Create calendar of trainings, upload files, materials and run reports to track Zoo staff completions of assigned trainings. Attend quarterly LMS meetings. • Track and compile Zoo Performance Measures from all Zoo Divisions. Be point- of-contact for Zoo divisions and division heads to define and report on annual performance measures. • Lead Guest Experience committee meetings, record notes, follow up on discussion/action items with appropriate staff and report to Zoo Director and senior staff. Spearhead summer recognition program for seasonal staff. • Act as point-of-contact for research firms engaged to conduct research on behalf of the Zoo (e.g. economic impact studies, market research or benchmarking studies). • Partner with university faculty on visitor research internships. Oversee college students to assist with visitor data collection. Report on student skills development. Use expertise of partners to build our capacity for research and analysis. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Museum Studies, Biological Sciences or Social Sciences and two (2) years of experience in data collection, analysis, writing and reporting.
