The scholarship was established to recognize students who demonstrate the PTK tenets of scholarship, leadership and service. The Phi Theta Kappa/Miner Alumni Association Scholarship is offered in addition to any other Missouri S&T Transfer Scholarships students may qualify for. Missouri S&T renewable Transfer Scholarships and the one-year Phi Theta Kappa/Miner Alumni Association Scholarship combine to provide an unlimited number of scholarships for Phi Theta Kappa members at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Total combined Transfer and PTK awards for qualified students will range from $2,500 to $6,500. Eligible students must be full-time, undergraduate, degree-seeking students with no previous bachelor’s degree and must be transferring directly to Missouri S&T with 24 or more college-level, transferable credits from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

 Documented member of Phi Theta Kappa  Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0

 Successful completion of at least 24 transferable college-level credit hours from a U.S. college or university

 Completion of A.A. or A.S. degree is preferred

A p p l i c a t i o n P r o c e d u r e  Apply for admission to Missouri S&T and request official transcripts be sent directly to the Missouri S&T Office of Admissions [apply online at http://admissions.mst.edu]  Submit completed Phi Theta Kappa/Miner Alumni Association Scholarship Application, PTK membership certificate and letter of reference to Missouri S&T

Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee to select eligible students who have completed the scholarship application and who complete the transfer admissions process to Missouri University of Science and Technology.

A number of $500-$2000 one-year scholarships are available. A minimum of 3.5 GPA for 24 transferable, graded, college-level credit hours from regionally accredited American college or university is required. Students with previous bachelor's degrees and part-time students are not eligible. Documentation of Phi Theta Kappa membership is required. Student must transfer directly from a two-year institution. Phi Theta Kappa scholars are also eligible for other Missouri S&T Transfer Admissions scholarships.
