The SMS Autotests,
25th September 2005.
Introduction
Hart MC are proudly presenting a Grass Autotest on 25th September 2005 after the successful running of this event in 2002 and 2003. We plan to provide you with entertaining and interesting tests mostly in a forward direction. Our aim is to run at least nine tests, two goes at each, with best time to count for the results.
The venue is a smooth grass field, some 3 miles SW of Reading at Grazeley Green and we are indebted to Richard Thorne of James Farm for providing the use of the field.
The clerk of the course is an experienced autotester having gained an FTD on his first ever autotest back in the 70s and more recently class wins on FDMC events. For those experienced rally drivers amongst you, or aspiring ones, come and have a go, as its an ideal opportunity to fine tune your handbraking skills in a totally non-damaging environment.
We are also running a class for under 17 year olds who will be accompanied by an adult ( a navigator?!) while the rest of you will have to work your own way around the tests!
We look forward to seeing you on the 25th September and get those entries in early.
Toilets are available at the venue.
Gwyn Jones Clerk of the Course.
