All exams are 90 minutes in length. Students should be in their first exam room each day by 8:10 AM. Attendance and announcements are at 8:15. 2. Transportation: Buses will run to Xavier on the regular morning schedule. As Mercy has full days of school on these days, buses will run on the normal afternoon schedule, with pickup beginning at 2:30. When possible, parents are encouraged to make arrangements to pick up their sons after the exam periods end each day.
3. Snow Delays or Closings: If school is delayed on any of the exam days, the schedule will be delayed by 90 minutes. Thus, students will report to their first exam room that day by 9:40. Attendance and announcements will be at 9:45. The first exam will run from 9:50 to 11:20, and the second exam from 11:35 to 1:05.
** If there are no cancellations due to snow during midterm exam week, vacation will begin at dismissal on Tuesday, 12/20. If school is cancelled any day during the week, the exams scheduled for that day will be pushed off by one day and subsequent exams will be pushed back, ending with the Period 7 exam on Wednesday, 12/21. Christmas vacation would then begin at dismissal on Wednesday, 12/21.
4. Attendance: All students must be present for mid-year exams. A student may be asked to present a doctor’s note if he is absent from an exam.
All students in full year or .5 elective courses must be in their classrooms during the exam periods. No students are excused from being in school when those courses meet. The only exceptions are students who have a resource period or are enrolled in SAT Review, as described below:

Therefore, juniors who would normally have SAT Review the first exam period on a given day do not have to be at Xavier until 9:50. Juniors who would normally have SAT Review during the second exam period on a given day may leave Xavier at 9:50 after the first exam. If a junior is in the building during his SAT Review period during exam week, he must report to the media center.
FRESHMEN and SOPHOMORES are required to be in their classrooms for each exam period.
