HR Manager, global publishing company

Informa Business Information (IBI) is seeking a talented HR Manager looking to take ownership of providing end to end HR support for our Consumer & Commodities division. This is an excellent HR generalist role, where you will act as an HR Business Partner to your division and support to Senior Management and employees.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and a key member of the senior management team, the HR Manager will take ownership for providing a full HR service and act as a key partner for the Consumer & Commodities Division globally. Supported by an HR Assistant you will provide on-going professional HR support to managers and staff, turning strategic intent into tactical delivery of HR objectives, from promoting employee engagement through to managing day to day ER issues, overseeing payroll and promotions.

Informa is part of the Informa Group and provides authoritative news, insightful research and analysis, data and events for the scientific, professional and commercial business communities. The main areas of responsibility within this role are the retail, consumer and agricultural commodity markets, where we produce leading digital information products across a range of different titles.

The HR team provides critical support across our business. It is committed to providing innovative, practical human resource solutions which contribute to achieving the Company’s overall objective to build its position as a world class online media organisation. This requires advisory and specialist knowledge on the full breadth of HR issues according to local practice and legislation.

The successful HR Manager must demonstrate:

 A tertiary qualification in HR or related field, CIPD qualified ideally  Broad generalist HR background with an understanding of employment related legislation; UK employment law essential, with an understanding of US and AP legislation advantageous,  Credibility in delivering proactive HR services and advice to frontline managers  Understanding of HR systems, preferably experience with SAP HR  An ability to manage and deliver a broad range of HR projects that enhance employee engagement globally  Awareness of working in a B2B focused environment  Experience in line management is desirable
