9:00a-10:00a Understanding HUD/FHA – A Practitioner’s Guide Moderator: Snyder Campbell/Lephew/Liou/Viorst An overview of West Region production, MAP guide underwriting, mortgage insurance premium changes, permitted scope of repair/replacement reserve schedule; environmental/HEROS and property conditions report/CAN e-tool requirements’ legal aspects related to land use, HAP contract, prepayment requirements. This panel provides current information for your existing portfolio and future acquisitions.

10:00a-11:00a Financing Your Preservation Deal Moderator: Viorst Kelcher/Neumann/Smith Debt providers will offer an update on the trends in the 2017 marketplace, including equity pricing, interest rates, lender requirements, and Fannie/Freddie issues.

11:15a-12:00p REACS, Flags and 2530s: Strategies to Keep Your Deal Moving Forward Moderator: Price Gutierrez/Precourt HUD has a renewed focus on physical and financial compliance and how to report it on the 2530 form and Active Partners Performance System (APPs). This panel will look at the new REAC Compilation Bulletin, strategies for compliance, as well as compliance points for Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) and financial audits. Our speakers will review how that effects the new HUD 2530/APPs regulations and how to deal with new protocols and standards for flags.

12:00p-1:00p Rental Assistance Demonstration Program (RAD) Update Moderator: VanAmerongen Arthur/Patton/Reardon Our panelists will discuss the intricacies and updates of the RAD program which provides new project based subsidy - including project based vouchers and project based rental assistance - to leverage private resources to preserve public housing, mod rehab and RAP/Rent Supp properties.
