General Suggestions/Learning Strategies

4  Good notes are the KEY! I will provide you with online power point lectures that are presented in lecture but you are expected to take notes. The information in the power points are bulleted, but explanations and details are often written on the board.

 You are expected to read the book BEFORE attending the lectures so that you will be prepared to actively participate in class discussions. Ask questions during lecture. Be prepared to answer questions as well. I strongly believe in participatory lectures, especially when we discuss controversial issues.

 You are expected to be familiar with and adhere to the Academic Honest Guidelines. Cheating and plagiarism will not be tolerated. There will be no warnings!

 HAVE FUN LEARNING!

*Students are expected to read this syllabus carefully and ask questions about any item that they do not understand. You are responsible for all of the material contained within this syllabus and you are expected to refer to it and rely on it for information.*
