Guide to Finding Standards
British Standards Online
British Standards Online (BSO) is accessible through findit@UCD Library, our online resources search interface, and provides full text access to over 27,000 British Standards in PDF format.
To access British Standards Online:
Log in to findit@UCD Library, using your UCD Connect user name and password Select Databases Type British Standards Online in the search box To start your search, click on the yellow British Standards Online/BSOL logo at the bottom of the screen
You can now search standards by number and keyword. International Standards (ISO) and European Standards (EN) are included unchanged as British Standard implementations. Type the ISO or EN number in the “standard number” field and click Go
To access British Standards withdrawn between 1991 and 1999, contact the Information Desk, Level 4 in the James Joyce Library, as they are not part of our online subscription.

To access IEEE Xplore Digital Library Log in to findit@UCD Library Select Databases Type IEEE Xplore in the search box Click on the Standards link in IEEE Xplore to browse the standards by number and subject
