Job Title: Mid-Week Spiritual Formation Director (Kid’s Life)

Accountable To: Pastor of Children’s Ministries

Salaried or Hourly: Salary – Full Time (40 hours)

Job Titles Supervised: Mid-week Classroom Teachers and Volunteers

Purpose: To partner with parents and volunteers to help children develop spiritually and discover what it means to follow Jesus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 Administration of mid-week Office and Personnel  Scheduling of Staff meetings, Teacher training, and Evaluations.  Responsible for Reviewing invoice documents and turning them into accounting.  Calculating timesheets to compare with accounting income and expense statement.  Track income and expense statements as well as keeping tack of monies collected and turned into accounting. Keeping a close eye on the financials.  Shopping and keeping track of supplies needed and purchased for Mid-Week activities.  Creating and developing new programs to facilitate childcare for different needs in the church and community.  Designate and delegate responsibilities to maintain orderly and timely office function when necessary.  Ensure that mid-week employees and volunteers share the overall mission and vision of the Children’s Ministry and are also prepared to help on weekends with needed.  Meet regularly and designate responsibilities to all mid-week management personnel. This includes the Curriculum Coordinator, Night Managers, Day Manager and Assistant Coordinator.  Must be able to run and direct all training.  Must attend New Life Church staff meetings, New Life Kid’s meetings and any training required by New Life Church.  Required to work all “A” events at New Life Church.  Must be available at all times on Cell Phone provided by NLC except during vacation time.  Work with HR when hiring new teachers and teen helpers and be available during the interview process.  Must be able to handle disputes between employees when they arise.  Counseling with employees when called upon until it is referred to counseling upstairs should it go beyond the coordinators capacity.  Coach employees on behavioral issues as they arise and/ or when brought to her attention by other employees.  Must be available to council when called upon by NLC.  Be the mid-week Representative to small group leaders, New life Leadership and outside ministries who may use the NLC facility and Childcare.  Plan and designate childcare duties for special events at NLC including Wonderland, The Thorn, Conferences, Concerts, Special Events, and Small Groups at NLC.

Education and Experience:  A High School Diploma or GED required.  Business school, Associate’s degree or equivalent is a plus.  3-4 years of related experience.

Applicant Requisites: Vocabulary, Sequential Logic, DISC Personality Profile, and GiftQuest. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Ability to handle constantly changing priorities and demands.  Ability to perform basic arithmetical functions.  Detail-oriented and self-motivated.  Ability to verbally communicate effectively and tactfully at all levels.  Personable and helpful attitude.  Excellent grammar skills and written communication skills.  Ability to handle multiple tasks and to complete projects with little guidance.  Able to work well under pressure.  Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
