Job Desc ription Jonathan’s Place is seeking a Senior Accountant of Finance and Administration. This position is responsible for management of the agency’s day-to-day finances and human resource needs.

Management/Reporting/Compliance  Work w i t h C E O a n d B o a r d of Directors o n t h e s t r a t e g i c v i s i o n b y overseeing the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organizations including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funders, development and monitoring of organizational budgets, oversee the cash management function including banking relationships, cash management strategies and cash flow analysis, monitor and maintain a documented system of accounting policies, systems and procedures and work directly with our PEO/HR Outsourcing Provider with human resource issues, payroll activity and employee benefits plans. Reporting  Issue timely and complete financial statements and supplemental reports for use by CEO, Audit/Finance committees and Boards of Directors, coordinate the preparation of the annual reports, calculate variances from budget and report significant issues to management and provide for a system of management and program services cost reports. Compliance  Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit; ensuring all audit issues are resolved, the preparation of the annual financial statements are in accordance with GAAP, comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings and ensure filings with taxing authorities are made in a timely manner as needed.  Complete all billing and reports for the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services as required by each of the contracts. Qualifications  Bachelor’ degree in accounting and 5-10 years of progressively responsible experience in a non‐ profit organization. Certified Public Accountant a plus but not required.  Excellent interpersonal skills to develop collaborative, trusting relationships with staff and Board of Directors.  Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on significant business, human resources and financial matters in an ethical and honest manner.  Desired personal qualities: initiative, integrity, flexibility.  In depth knowledge of relevant accounting software and data base skills are required. Blackbaud Financial Edge experience preferred.
