ProGlove launches their first smart glove for industry
The first smart glove for industry is on sale now ProGlove introduces the worker to Industry 4.0 by improving efficiency and ergonomics through hands-free documentation Plug & Play solution ensures great interest among process and project responsibilities
Munich, October 19th 2016
ProGlove, the industrial startup from Munich, launches their first smart glove for industry with the name ’Mark’ for the European market today. ‘Mark’ is a Plug & Play solution for production and logistics, where companies get the impact of efficiency and ergonomic improvements immediately.
“We are proud to sell our first product ‘Mark’ now. The close cooperation with clients such as Audi, BMW, Skoda, MAHLE and John Deere shows the enormous ergonomic and efficiency potential of ProGlove. We can save 2000 minutes a day in one warehouse - immediately without integrational effort,” said ProGlove founder and CEO, Thomas Kirchner.
ProGlove ‘Mark’ enables manufacturing and logistics staff to work faster, safer, and easier. Process steps can be documented hands-free via 2D barcode engine. Therefore, tracking and tracing parcel or manufacturing parts come down to a simple glove scan.
The worker gets direct feedback to his working steps via optical, acoustic, and even haptic feedback – which ensures a new level of process quality and efficiency. Integrated gesture sensors open the possibility for gesture control.
The core of the design of the smart glove ‘Mark’ is an implemented computer unit and a working glove that can be easily replaced when it wears out. About ProGlove ProGlove develops wearables for the industry. The Munich based company was founded in December 2014 by Thomas Kirchner (CEO), Jonas Girardet (CTO), Paul Günther (Product Engineer) and Alexander Grots (Advisor) after winning the Intel “Make It Wearable” Challenge in Silicon Valley. This year, ProGlove has successfully closed its first funding round of $2.2 million led by Intel Capital, GETTYLAB, and Bayern Kapital. ProGlove’s goal is to bring wearables to industrial environments and prepare the worker for the up- and-coming Industry 4.0. ProGlove’s first product is ‘Mark’. A smart glove that broadly improves and simplifies logistic and manufacture processes.
