ICF/MR Payment Processing Date (PPD) Changes due to Holidays and Transition Activities to TMHP

This correspondence is to inform you of the changes in the claims payment processing dates and payment receipt dates for the months of November, 2003 and December, 2003 due to the upcoming holidays and the transition of the Medicaid claims processing from NHIC to Texas Medicaid Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) that will occur between December 26, 2003 and January 5, 2004.

Claims payment processing dates will be changed during the week of November 24-28, 2003 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. For both Service Group 5 & 6 the PPD will occur on Tuesday, November 25, 2003. Providers must have their claims entered by 5:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2003 to be included in payment processing. for the November 25, 2003 PPD. Warrants will be generated on Wednesday, December 3, 2003.

Claims payment processing for both Service Group 5 & 6 will occur as regularly scheduled during the weeks of December 1st, 8th and 15th.. Claims payment processing for both Service Group 5 & 6 will occur on Tuesday, December 23, 2003. Providers must have their claims entered by 5:00 PM Monday, December 22, 2003 to be included in payment processing for the December 23, 2003 PPD. Warrants will be generated on Wednesday, December 31, 2003.

As you are aware claims submission will not be possible from December 26, 2003 through January 4, 2004 due to the transition from NHIC to the new Medicaid contractor, TMHP. However, all claims for Service Group 5 & 6 that are accepted for payment through CMS between Tuesday, December 23, and Thursday at 5:00 PM on December 25, 2003 will be processed for payment on Monday, December 29, 2003. Warrants will be generated on January 7, 2004

Claims payment processing should return to the regular schedule beginning January 5, 2004 for both Service Group 5 & 6. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please contact Twyla Miller at (512) 206-5063.
