DUPONT DISPLAYS INC., Santa Barbara. CA. 2002-2003 A research and development subsidiary of Dupont developing Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) displays for commercial applications.

Production Manager Responsible for 25 workers on two shifts including engineering and planning personnel, support in PLED display development and manufacturing.  Implemented daily operations review meetings communicating activity plan, resource requirements, equipment status, scraps, reworks and monthly performance to planned moves, turns, inventory and ships to test. Resulting in an increase execution of engineering experiments and process of record completed displays.

CANDESCENT TECHNOLOGIES INC., San Jose, CA. 2000 – 2002 A research development company of FPT Flat Panel Display Technology.

Supervisor Responsible for 16 technicians across multiple work areas manufacturing cathode and faceplate panels.  Consolidated inventory report planning from 48 pages to 6-page system for both forecasting and measurement of daily forecast to actual. This improved efficiency in communication and execution to daily plans.  Improved quality processing through use of eight disciplines of problem solving.

DYNAMIC MICRO SYSTEMS, Los Gatos, CA. 1999-2000 Equipment manufacturer of semiconductor reticle handling, storage cleaning systems.

General Manager Responsible for North America Operations, managing sales representatives, sales, marketing, service and equipment installation.  Established company’s first dedicated operations in the North America including Canada and Mexico. Opened the office in Los Gatos, initiated customer contacts along with overseeing existing sales representatives across east and west coast.  Participated in $2 million sales order working with sales representative to promote company product, features and application. INTEGRATED DEVICE TECHNOLOGIES, Salinas CA. 1997 – 1999 Semiconductor integrated device company specializing in programmable logic circuits.

Area Manager Responsible for 4 shift 8 supervisors 24/7 operations with 120 workers.  Implemented capacity modeling that defined departments key constraints and output capability. This used to define strategic planning for plants profit and loss objectives.  Member of team that implemented cost reduction in photo resist and developer, resulting in saving the company $400,000 a year.  Lead team of supervisors in cost reduction of test wafer consumption and re-use that saved the company $140,000 a year.

MAXIM INTEGRATED PRODUCTS., Beaverton OR. 1996 – 1997 Semiconductor integrated device company specializing in Analog, CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.

Operations Manager Responsible for shift managers, supervisors and 192 workers across four shift 24/7 operation.  Reduced cycle-time of BiCMOS process from 16 weeks to 8 weeks and CMOS process from 8 weeks to 4 weeks at same time doubling output of line.  Staffed operations from initial team of three supervisors, one manager and 140 workers during initial nine months to that of four shift managers, nine supervisors and 192 workers while increasing daily activities to achieve company growth forecast objectives.

MATSUSHITA SEMICONDUCTOR CORPORATION., Puyallup WA.1989 - 1996 Semiconductor manufacturer of Memory and Logic integrated circuits.

Planning Manager / General Foreman Wafer Sort (1992 – 1996) Responsible for fab planning and wafer sort operations.  Developed planning system with members of IT department used in integrating wip dispatch through work areas and enhanced work center management. This lead to greater than 95% On Time Delivery OTD’s.  Lead team with CIM Computer Integrated Manufacturing System Work Stream implementation of WIP, SQC, EDC and Script modules.
