Identified by CVTE Educators from the MA Vocational Technical Education Framework to Support the Development of District-Determined Measures
January 15, 2014 Sturbridge, MA Note on Use of this Resource
This document is provided as a resource for CVTE educators and leaders to support the alignment of District-Determined Measures to critical content standards in each of 27 CVTE programs. The following standards were identified by teams of CVTE educators from across the Commonwealth during an ESE-sponsored meeting in Sturbridge, Massachusetts on January 15, 2014. The standards provide a starting point for school and district discussions about whether District-Determined Measures address the two central questions set forth by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE):
1. Is the measure aligned to critical content?
2. Is the measure informative? See ESE Technical Guide B: Measuring Student Growth and Piloting District-Determined Measures, available at http://www.doe.mass.edu/edeval/ddm/TechnicalGuideB.pdf , for further description. Contents 1. Automotive Collision Repair & Refinishing (VCOLL)
