STEPHEN MINISTRIES Remember our Steven Ministers - Sandy Durden, Mona Ivey, and Nancy McKenzie - in your prayers. They continue to gather weekly to put in 50 hours of prayer and training in preparation for this ministry.

NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER Thursday May 3rd millions will unite in prayer at thousands of events across the nation. This year’s theme, “One Nation Under God” is this year’s theme. Crosshaven Church along with other local churches and community leaders will host this year’s event at Heritage Park by the fountain at 6:00 pm

A LITTLE LAMBS SCHOOL MOMENT This week we begin a new bulletin sharing moment. The stories will be actual things said in our Little Lambs School. The preschool teacher shared with her class the wonderful story of God’s special promise to Abraham and Sarah. Later that morning, the teacher asked the children, “Does anyone remember who our Bible story was about today?” One little girl eagerly raised her hand and responded, “I do, I do… it was about Birmingham and Sarah and their son Isaac.”

THE LINK The Link of Cullman County invites you to a community involvement meeting on April 30th @ 6:30 pm in the conference room on the 1st floor of CCBOE. God is doing great things in Cullman. YOUTH TRUE LOVE WAITS RALLY April 18 at the Warehouse behind First Baptist Church. MEET AT THE WAREHOUSE for our regular Wednesday night activities this night and join with students from all over Cullman County. Praise Band and special guest speaker to discuss sex and God’s true love for us.

ST. JOHN’S TORNADO CAFE April 27, 2012 Complimentary Lunch 11-1:00 Christ Hall Through we will undoubtedly look back with sadness over the loss of beautiful buildings and neighborhoods and especially over the lives of families more permanently affected, our hearts are strengthened by the ever-present God of our faith.

To commemorate the day we would like to invite you to a time of remembrance and celebration at St. John’s Evangelical Protestant Church on April 27, 2012. If you would like to express your gratitude to God for His Care, we invite you to a service of prayer at 10:30 in our sanctuary. Even if you are unable to join us during this time of prayer, we welcome you to join us in Christ Hall for a complimentary lunch, served between 11:00a.m and 2:00 p.m., as we thankfully remember both those who served during that time and our God who has bestowed so many blessing on our lives and in our community. HOW YOU CAN HELP: We are hoping to feed around 1,000 people. In order for us to help provide this community lunch, we are asking for the congregation to assist us by donating items. Items needed: 40 Gallon Size (#10) Niblet Corn 40 Gallon Size (#10) Baked Beans Gallon cans may be purchased at Wal Mart, 40 Gallon Size (#10) Green Beans Warehouse Discount Groceries and most local 40 Gallon Size (#10) Peas (any kind) grocery stores. 75 Cakes or Desserts (cakes can be made ahead and frozen here at the church) Loafs of Bread (yeast provided) Individuals to help prepare food the day before and day of Meal Servers for the meal Clean up Crew Canned items may be brought to the church office by Monday April 23rd.
