A. Organization Structure of Owners 1 The Owners operate from Japan. Important persons are-

Owner’s Requirements- Reporting/ Circulars 1 The vessel to send weekly updates of the maintenance carried out on deck and engine room, status of rectification of owners’ observations to Owners via AESM. 2 Arrival, Departure, Port and Noon reports must be sent to owners in their required format. Voyage Memo as per owner’s format to be sent 1st of March, June, Sep and Dec. 3 No additional computers to be present on the bridge. This includes communication computer which is kept in Master’s cabin. Only computer on bridge is for the ADP and Digitrace strictly. All other programs are to be deleted. 4 HOLD CLEANING :  Vessel must regularly update Charterers with the status of hold cleaning. This includes submission of daily cleaning report together with photographs of current status of hold cleaning.  Should difficulty be encountered in Hold cleaning, Master must duly inform Charterers of the same with specific reasons for the difficulty involved.  If hold cleaning operation is delayed due to weather, Master must inform Charterers of the same immediately.  All messages to Charterers must be copied to owners/AESM.

5 LONG ANCHORAGE : Anchorage stay of 7 days or more is treated as long anchorage and proactive measure must be taken to prevent hull fouling. These include:  Anchorage stay of 7 days or less – Main Engine must be started in both directions 2/3 days so as to have three times a week..  Anchorage stay of more than 7 days: Vessel, in communication with Charterers and Port agents must carry out short navigation of 4-6 hours to avoid the formation of hull growth. Vessel must ensure to obtain required permission from Charterers in this regard. Permission from Port agents must be obtained to ensure vessel does not miss berthing line up.  Upon berthing, vessel must take photos of ship side at representative locations forward to aft and send to office. If hull fouling is noted, Charterers must be informed of the same.  Upon commencement of voyage, vessel to take Engine performance and report same to office in Engine builders format together with a copy of indicator cards.

6 PORT ACTIVITY  Replenishment of Fresh water: Delivery receipt must be signed and clearly marked with “OWNERS ACCOUNT” or “CHARTERERS ACCOUNT”.  Payment vouchers presented by agents must clearly by marked with “OWNERS ACCOUNT” or “CHARTERERS ACCOUNT”.  Where port dues by way of Garbage disposal costs, specific payments for port stay etc are inevitable, Charterers must be informed of the same. such case Charterers approval must be obtained and voucher marked accordingly. A copy of Charterers approval must be obtained on E mail which should be forwarded to owners for their record.  Where payments of a NON CUMPULSORY nature are required, AESM must be informed and no payments will be made unless approved by AESM / OWNERS.  Port regulations must be strictly followed at all times. No crew member must be found to contravene any port regulations at any cost. Particular care to be taken in Japanese Ports, some of which may be private berths.  Engine immobilization will not be undertaken unless this is categorically authorized by Harbour authorities.  No overside painting is permitted without authorization of agents. This must be obtained in writing. If permission is not granted agents message to this effect must be maintained for record.

7 MARPOL RELATED ISSUES:  Strict compliance with AE Environmental policy is to be ensured.  No deviation from company policy is permitted at any cost.  Any violation must be reported immediately to allow immediate action.  Vessels must comply with California State and EU fuel regulations as applicable.  Ballast water exchange records must mention Ballast water salinity (checked by external agencies like Canadian Environmental inspection agencies, AMSA). 8 Statement of facts (SOF): SOF must be detailed and factual and all cargo stoppages due to rain or other factors must be recorded accurately. Please ensure that all information contained therein in the SOF is accurate prior to signing same. C. Owner Specific PSC Detentions 1 Medi Salerno was detained at New Castle, Australia in Nov 2016.  Ballast tank and fuel tank air vents on main deck defective (Numerous places including critical location). D. Owner Specific Major Problems/ Incidents 2 Medi Firenze lost her starboard anchor and anchor chain at Colombo anchorage in November 2011 whilst anchoring in deep waters (edge of the coastal shelf, depth 85 meters of water and letting go the anchor). Please be reminded that the company requires all vessels to walk back the anchor under power to the desired scope in depths over 50 metres, except in emergency. Vessels must not anchor in depths greater than 100 metres, except in emergency. To avoid damaging the windlass, the anchor cable should be kept up/down and paid out continuously under power till the entire scope is paid out. Engines and anchor brakes should be used as required to avoid over-speed and/ or overload of the windlass motor. 3 Bosun onboard Medi Salerno was lost overboard in March 2012 while securing pilot combination ladder. Vessel had dropped her last pilot at Chang Jiang Kou (CJK) channel, after departure from HRDD shipyard, China. Bosun was accompanied by two Ordinary Seamen and a Deck Cadet for securing of the pilot combination ladder. At the time of the incident, Bosun was near the lowermost platform of the gangway for the combination ladder. He was reportedly wearing an inflatable life vest but was not wearing any safety harness. E. Ship Specific Issues 1 Please give attention to the condition of the holds and the booby hatches. 2 Hatch cover operating cylinders-Op Piston to be covered with transparent plastic, left open at lower end and blown out after each loading / discharge operation. 3 Hydraulic line couplings must be covered with Denso tape at all times. 4 Deck line clamping must be protected using rubber/ lead sheet. 5 Owners are very particular about:

owner’s briefing file. d) Accommodation cleanliness particularly condition of toilets, accommodation passageways and stairways. e) Condition of flooring in the accommodation. f) Galley especially galley filters g) Chemicals and lubes drums securing arrangements in the steering gear room. h) Ballast tanks maintenance. i) Ship side maintenance j) Charterers Logo painted on Ship side / Funnel (must be well maintained at all times) Owner’s Briefing file for Masters and C/Es kept in office to be gone through and understood during the briefing and any questions to be discussed. F. Trade Related Issues (as relevant) 1 Port calls to USA- Please be familiar /ensure compliance with:

 BW management/exchange and reporting regulations;  Electronic Notice of Arrival/Departure (E-NOA/D) procedures;  NPDES;  Oil Pollution Response Q.I. notification drills, and be prepared for unannounced SOPEP drills;  US Customs Sea Carrier Initiative Program;  Pre-arrival equipment test requirements.

Ensure that APIS ICB (Crew/Passengers) is held. Ensure valid USCG COFR (and bridge letter for those vessels with Operator named in the COFR different from the Registered Owners) is held. All crew passports are required to be in Master's safe custody at all times. Please refer Company’s SMS Checklist. 2 Port calls to Canada- Please be familiar with BW management/exchange and reporting regulations and ensure that Valid OSRO contract is held (if not, contact AE HKG/QA immediately) and declaration of oil spill contractor duly completed. 3 Port calls to Europe- Kindly beware of the high incidence of stowaways and take all necessary precautions. 4 Port calls to Australia-  Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with BW management/exchange and reporting regulations.  Ensure that Original or certified true copy of current P & I Certificate of Entry is held.  To check the vessel for indications of any insects and pests, referring to the Pest Alert brochure (contact Operations department for the brochure).  Please refer Company’s SMS Checklist. 5 Port calls to Africa- Kindly beware of the high incidence of stowaways, piracy, robberies and pilferage, and take all necessary precautions. 6 Port calls to Brazil -Kindly beware:

 That this is very high risk area for sea borne drug smuggling and be on alert accordingly.  The high incidence of stowaways, piracy, robberies and pilferage and take all necessary precautions.  Brazil NORMAN 20 BW management plan, exchange and reporting regulations (Refer BW Management File).

Additionally, for river Amazon:

 Kindly beware that in certain sections the banks shift continually and buoys may drift out of position or the buoyage may not yet have been re-aligned to the navigable channel, for which the most up-to-date information must be obtained from the local Agent or the Pilot authority in good time before the transit and extra care is to be taken when navigating in suspect areas.  It should be carefully watched and ensured that the vessel's speed through the water when navigating shallows does not exceed the speed at which the UKC and squat allowance has been calculated. 7 Port calls to Argentina-

 Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with BW exchange and BW chlorination regulations for Cholera prevention.  Please note that this is very high risk area for sea borne drug smuggling and be on alert accordingly.  Kindly beware in case of transiting River Plate and River Parana, that in certain sections the banks shift continually and buoys may drift out of position or the buoyage may not yet have been re-aligned to the navigable channel, for which the most up-to-date information must be obtained from the local Agent or the Pilot authority in good time before the transit and extra care is to be taken when navigating in suspect areas. It should be carefully watched and ensured that the vessel's speed through the water when navigating shallows does not exceed the speed at which the UKC and squat allowance has been calculated.  Kindly be warned that exorbitant fines are imposed on ships for any misdeclaration of bunkers, lubes, paints, spares, equipment stores, cargo or crew's personal effects. The Customs or other authorities will look for the slightest excuse, even minor, innocent, discrepancies or mistakes, to levy huge fines (USD20-30,000 upwards) and/or extort underhanded payments. Please, therefore, ensure that all port papers and customs declarations are prepared carefully and accurately, all items and quantities are diligently accounted for and declared according to local regulations and requirements, to be ascertained by you from port agent early to allow you sufficient time to ensure proper compliance. 8 Port Calls to Colombia- Kindly beware

 That this is very high risk area for sea borne drug smuggling and be on alert accordingly,  The high incidence of stowaways, piracy, robberies and pilferage, and take all necessary precautions,  That in certain sections of Rio Orinoco, the banks shift continually and buoys may drift out of position or the buoyage may not yet have been re- aligned to the navigable channel, for which the most up-to-date information must be obtained from the local agent or the pilot authority in good time before the transit and extra care is to be taken when navigating in suspect areas. 10 Port calls to Japan- Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with the reporting procedure for the compulsory insurance requirement for non-tanker ships. 11 Port calls to Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh- Kindly beware of the high incidence of piracy and robberies and take all necessary precautions. 12 Port calls to China- Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with BW exchange and discharge regulations, the current details of which you should ascertain from the Agent. Ships calling at any Chinese port must have pre-contracted & approved pollution clean-up contractor, known as SPRO (Ship Pollution Response organizations). Please refer RU 71 for details. 13 Port calls to Singapore- Kindly beware of the high incidence of stowaways, piracy and robberies and take all necessary precautions 14 Port Calls to New Zealand- Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with BW

Management/Exchange and reporting regulations, 15 Port Calls to Russia (Black Sea) - Kindly be reminded to ensure compliance with BW exchange in Black Sea requirements, and BW and sewage discharge regulations of the Russian Federation included in the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, the current details of which you should ascertain from the Agent. 16 Port Calls to Ukraine (Black Sea ) - Kindly be reminded:

 To ensure compliance with BW exchange in Black Sea requirements, the current details of which you should ascertain from the Agent.  That exorbitant fines are imposed on ships for not being in compliance with International / Ukrainian / port regulations / requirements and/or any mis- declaration of bunkers (noting that Customs Officials will conduct a bunker survey to ascertain actual quantity), lubes, paints, spares, equipment stores, cargo or crew's personal effects. Therefore ensure that the vessel is in compliance with all regulations and all port papers and customs declarations are prepared carefully and accurately, all items and quantities (including lube oil in use i.e. in machinery sumps - each to be a separate entry) are diligently accounted for and declared according to local regulations and requirements, to be ascertained by you from port agent early to allow you sufficient time to ensure proper compliance. 17 Transiting Malacca/Singapore Straits- Kindly beware of the high incidence of piracy and robberies and take all necessary precautions. 18 Transiting Gulf of Aden (GoA) and High Risk Areas: Please refer the APP (Anti-Piracy Plan), latest version of Best Management Practices (BMP), Ship Security Plan (SSP) and the CSO messages for details. G. OPS Guidelines 1 Bill of Lading- Please ensure officers understand regarding the importance of receiving the original B/L. In case the same is not available, LOI (Letter of Indemnity) from the Head Charterers has to be accepted/approved by the Head Owners wherein they will give clear written instructions directly or via us. Without express approval of LOI, discharging pf cargo should not be undertaken. 2 LOA (Letter of Authorization) - If the format is not the same as given in AESM Manuals and agents ask the Master to sign a different format (not similar to ours) then they should get Owners approval. 3 Rain Letter - If Charterers/Shippers intend to discharge cargo during rain, then they should inform the vessel/Owners regarding the same via appropriate channel; and if Owners accept the "Rain Letter" (depending on the cargo), then you may comply with the same. Until such time, the hatch covers to remain closed and cargo operations are not to be allowed in periods of rain. 4 Draft Survey – There should be no reliance of draft surveys carried out by external parties or by shore scale figures. C/Off has to carry out the initial/intermediate/final draft surveys himself. If substantial difference is found (between shore vs. ship's draft survey fig), then Master to immediately inform Charterers + Owners/AESM, to enable Owners/AESM decide next course of action i.e., to make decision to call P&I (and to give Master relevant advise - issue LOP, etc). In any case, M/R + B/L + agent's SOF to be claused reflecting actual figure found i.e., ship's fig vs. shore scale fig. 5 Communications- Communications to be prompt with Owners+ AESM. 6 IWL/INL + WRTW (International Warranties Limits/International Navigational Limits + War Risk Trade Warranties)- Prompt reporting to be made to Owners + AESM, to ensure cover is in place. 7 Hold washings- To be pumped out in compliance with MARPOL and local regulations. 8 Minimize Hog/ Sag during loading - Masters are reminded to plan cargo stowage with reference to the bending moments (BM) in the final loaded condition, and loading/deballasting sequence carefully, in advance, together with their Chief Officers, so as to minimize hog/sag and unpumpable ballast water, and maximize cargo lift. 9 Unpumpable ballast- Please note that Masters and Chief Officers are to always strive to maximize cargo lift by careful planning and management of their cargo Owners Briefing: Yamamaru Revision: 6 Page 5 of 6 Issue Date: 20 Mar 2017 ANGLO-EASTERN

loading/deballasting sequences, so as to minimize deflection (hog/sag) and unpumpable ballast.
