The Visiting Committee’s CONFIDENTIAL recommendation to the CAIS Board of Standards and the ACS WASC Accrediting Commission: Seven-Year Accreditation Status with a Mid-cycle Progress Report: There is compelling evidence that the school needs little, if any, additional support to sustain high-quality student learning, a strong educational program, and effective institutional operations. There is also compelling evidence that the school can successfully identify, implement, monitor, and accomplish the important strategic goals that will lead to future improvement.
Seven-Year Accreditation Status with a Mid-cycle Progress Report and One-day Visit: There is compelling evidence that the school needs additional support to sustain high-quality student learning, a strong educational program, and effective institutional operations. Mid-cycle Progress Report and One-day Visit Mid-cycle Progress Report, One-day Visit, and Additional Requirements (e.g., essential additional reports or information to be submitted before the due date of the progress report, an extra visit before the mid-cycle review, or other requirements, as appropriate) Please specify the additional requirements: Two-year Accreditation Status with an In-depth Progress Report and One-day Visit There is compelling evidence that the school is seriously struggling with or deficient in meeting one or more of the accreditation standards, Fundamental Membership Requirements, or provisions of the Code of Ethics and that urgent attention and action for needed change are required within two years before a more extended status of accreditation can be granted. One-year Accreditation Status with an In-depth Progress Report and One-day Visit There is compelling evidence that the school is seriously struggling with or deficient in meeting one or more of the accreditation standards, Fundamental Membership Requirements, or provisions of the Code of Ethics and that urgent and immediate attention and action are required for needed change before a more extended status of accreditation can be granted.
Denial of Accreditation: There is compelling evidence that the school is very seriously deficient in meeting one or more of the accreditation standards, Fundamental Membership Requirements, or provisions of the Code of Ethics, and that the resulting negative impact makes it extremely challenging to sustain high- quality student learning, a strong educational program, and effective institutional operations.
NOTE: The CAIS Board and WASC Commission reserve the right to grant a status of accreditation other than those recommended above. In the event of a formal appeal, this document may be provided by WASC to the Head of School. VISITING COMMITTEE MEMBERS
