Event Steward Volunteers Volunteering with London Transport Museum

Do you enjoy engaging with people and working in a dynamic environment as part of a friendly and supportive team?

We are looking for volunteers with commitment, enthusiasm and a passion for people and heritage design to support us in delivering heritage events across London.

On Sunday 3rd July London Transport Museum will be taking part in the Regent Street Festival. Transported by Design and the London Transport Museum will transform Regent Street into a spectacular display of transport design. We need your help to make this event truly spectacular!

The festival will be full of inspiring transport design showcasing how good design makes life in London better. Event highlights include; a vintage showcase from the London Transport Museum with heritage vehicles and tube carriage, a uniform catwalk, entertainment zones with food, drink and music, a pop-up London Underground Station and Moquette land.

What you could be doing: As an Event Steward with London Transport Museum:  Working directly with the general public, museum staff and volunteers to deliver professional and friendly customer service  Supervising the bus collection and other features on site  Interpreting the buses to enthusiastic visitors  Working with a team of volunteers and staff to manage the visitor flow through the site  Welcoming visitors to the event and providing information on site activities

OR use only Date added: LTMOR-V04b Who we are looking for:  Good communication skills  Friendly, enthusiastic and approachable  Some experience or a strong interest in working with families and children  Ability to interact with people from different ages and backgrounds  A willingness to ‘have a go’ at a range of activities, including craft

What Happens Next?

We ask that you can commit to the full day on Sunday 3rd July as well as an induction prior to the event. We are happy to discuss this further during the interview.

 An informal group interview will be held on Wednesday 22nd June at 10am & 12pm.  Interviews will last up to one hour and you’ll only need to attend one.  You must be available for an induction on Wednesday 29th June at 12pm.
