College Research Project

Part of being a high school student is to help you become familiar with colleges and universities. This is your first step! This project is a major part of your 6 six weeks and second semester grade. Make sure you complete all parts of assignment.

You will choose one school in Texas or any other state using www.50states.com. We will use some class time to research information on the internet about your school as well as to work on your project. Keep in mind that you need time outside of school to complete your project. You will be responsible for collecting the information in order to complete the items below. No duplicates of schools will be allowed. You will have the opportunity to sign-up for a particular school, and once that school is taken, you cannot use it.

Your project will include: □ A poster board which includes all of the information below! □ an original pennant (made by you) with your school’s name, colors, and mascot □ Then/Now/Later On Foldable □ Recommendation Letter □ Resume □ Personal Statements □ BASIC Student Profile Information □ an oral presentation May 18-20 (specific dates will be assigned) ALL OF THE ABOVE ITEMS WILL BE DUE ON THE DAY OF YOUR PRESENTATION.
