QC Reports Specific Examples of Checklists verifying Clean Environment Development Facility (CEDF) requirements have been met; Deliverables Shipping invoices; copy of signed inspection tags; copies of correspondence. Heat Numbers per Mn/DOT’s Standard Specifications for Construction, Section 2471.3C2. DFT’s/Enviromentals from painter and/or galvanizer. All Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Reports; other misc. related documents Final Inspection Report Package must include all required elements as listed under ‘Specific Examples of Quality Attributes of Deliverables’. Deliverables The inspector must ensure the quality of the inspection by applying standard quality assurance measures. The inspector must perform an audit of the fabricator’s work processes. 4.1 Structural Metals Inspection Minimum Technical Qualifications Requirements of the Professional Staff Minimum number of Staff The onsite inspector must have the proper professional certifications and years of experience. Personnel performing structural steel inspections must be an AWS Certified Welding Inspector Professional Certification/Licensure (CWI) as per AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code (2002), Paragraph 6.1.3.1(3). The inspector shall have Radiographic Film Interpretation training and documented coatings training, if applicable. Past Record & Experience of Firm Personnel performing Nondestructive Testing (NDT) shall be qualified in accordance with Mn/DOT Spec. 2471.3M, current edition. The onsite inspector must have a minimum of five (5) years experience performing bridge fabrication inspection. NDE personnel must have a minimum two (2) years as a level II per Mn/DOT 2471.3M, current Qualifying Experience edition. The onsite inspector must have access to and a working knowledge of the AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code and the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code-Steel. Requirements of the Firm The firm must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience performing bridge fabrication inspection. The firm must have a working knowledge of AWS D1.5 and AWS D1.1 (as demonstrated by the Past Record & Experience of Firm submittal requirements). The firm must also be knowledgeable in the requirements of Mn/DOT Standard Specifications for Construction.

4.1 Structural Metals Inspection Minimum Technical Qualifications Submittal Requirements
Qualifying experience of staff in the category/level of work must be documented by resumes Requirements of Professional Staff and personal experience histories of key personnel.
Experience of the firm in the category must be demonstrated by reference to completed Requirements of Firm projects in the last five years. Experience by qualified professional staff may be cited in lieu of experience by the firm if the firm has been in business less than five years. Project examples, when required, may be submitted electronically (on CD’s) or in hard copy Project Documentation (i.e. reports, plans, etc.).
