Romeo and Juliet Act III Multi-genre Artifacts TEST category in the gradebook!

Now that we have completed the reading of Romeo and Juliet, ACT III, you will be creating TWO artifacts that demonstrate your understanding.

First, what is a multi-genre artifact? It is a way of thinking outside the essay box to analyze a work of literature in a more creative, imaginative way! Let me explain more…

Rather than writing an essay or having a test on the ACT, you will cover the material using two of the different genres on the lists below. The artifacts will in some way represent an analysis of ACT III. You will also type a one-page “Dear Reader” (rationale behind the projects) in which you will talk about your two artifacts in detail – why you chose the ones you did, and what they represent from the play.

Poem (any form – concrete, narrative, etc.) 2 page interview of a Character Song play-list Character journal entry (1 single-spaced page) 2 article Newsletter/Newspaper (may include an obituary) Requirements:

30 pts. Projects -must use at least TWO quotes from the text PER Artifact (4 TOTAL) -must be creative -must be neat -must demonstrate a solid understanding of ACT III, or a scene from ACT III -must be proofread and free from mistakes -must be typed

KEEP IN MIND: You may choose to base your project on the entire ACT, or just a portion (scene[s]) It’s up to you!
