Q What if I haven’t yet left my current Broker?

A Before joining RHL you will need to sever your relationship with your current Broker. Then simply contact the RHL Coordinator who will walk you through the steps needed to join RHL.

Q Why should I join RHL versus another referral company?

A When you refer a client, you want the best possible “results” for that client. Since RHL works with Long Realty there are over 1,150 agents in Arizona and 170,000 agents nationwide (through our network brokerage partners) who are available so we can select the best agent to meet your client’s needs. In Arizona, Long Realty was responsible for closing over 5,000 residential sales in 2008 (according to TARMLS statistics). In addition, if you have a relationship with a specific Long Agent, your referral(s) can go to that specific agent.

Q What if my license is about to expire?

A As an RHL Referral Agent, you must maintain your license in an “Active” status with ADRE in order to be eligible to legally receive referral commissions.

Q How long does it take to sever my relationship with Long and join RHL?

A This can be done immediately on-line via the Internet in real-time.

Q Can I join RHL immediately after severing my relationship with Long?

A Yes, but only if the RHL Hire Package along with the W9 have been fully completed and returned to the RHL Coordinator.

Q Can I refer a Buyer or Seller looking to Buy or Sell outside of Arizona?

A Absolutely. Long works with over 170,000 network brokerage partner agents throughout the United States. You simply submit your referral form to RHL and Long will make sure your referral clients are connected with a professional agent, regardless of where they need real estate services.

Q If I refer a friend or relative can I share all or part of my Referral Commission with them?

Page 1 of 3 Rev 2.0 A Yes, as long as the individual is either the named Buyer or Seller in the transaction for which you are sharing any part of your referral commission.

Q Can I use a referral agent other than a Long Agent?

A No, in order to provide the best available service, RHL Referral Company utilizes Long Agents exclusively, or in the case where Long does not have direct Long Agents, our network brokerage partner companies.

Q Can I show houses and be involved with a client whom I refer through RHL?

A No, once you submit a referral to RHL, you are no longer allowed to play any part in the transaction, other than to receive your referral commission upon closing.

Q Can I speak with the agent assigned to my referral client?

A Yes, when you submit your RHL Referral you indicate that you would like to speak with the assigned agent prior to client contact.

Q Can I negotiate a higher referral commission rate with the assigned agent?

A Yes, however your RHL Referral Commission rate is fixed based on whether you choose the Standard Plan or the Prime Plan.

Q Once I become a RHL Referral Agent, can I change the commission plan I chose?

A You must select a plan when you join RHL. You can then change plans on each subsequent anniversary. Referrals outstanding will be paid based on the commission plan you were on at the time the transaction opens escrow.

Q What if I decide to get back into real estate directly and sign up with a Broker other than Long?

A You are free to sever your relationship with RHL at any time. However, you will no longer be eligible to receive referral commissions on any referrals not in Escrow at the time you sever your relationship with RHL.

Q What if I decide to not renew my Arizona Real Estate License upon expiration?

A In order to receive any commissions based on a real estate transaction in Arizona, you must have an “Active” real estate license with ADRE. Therefore, once your license expires, you can no longer receive referral commissions from RHL.

Q What if I decide to leave RHL and join a different Referral Company?

Page 2 of 3 Rev 2.0 A You are free to sever your relationship with RHL at any time. However, you will no longer be eligible to receive referral commissions on any referrals that have not opened escrow at the time you sever your relationship with RHL.

Q What if I submit a client referral while my license is active, but the closing doesn’t happen until after my license expires?

A In order to receive any commissions based on a real estate transaction in Arizona, you must have an “Active” real estate license with ADRE. Therefore, once your license expires, you can no longer receive referral commissions from RHL.

Q What if I don’t know my Real Estate License number?

A You can either call ADRE at 520-628-6940 or go to the ADRE website at www.azre.gov.

Q Once I join RHL, who do I contact if I have questions?

A Whenever you have a question about your relationship with RHL, or that of your referral client(s) with RHL, you can call the RHL Coordinator at 520-918-2437.
