Over the past 11 years, The Rotary Foundation has provided nearly 900 future peace leaders with peace and conflict resolution education at Rotary Peace Centers around the world.
Each year up to 100 fellows are selected to receive full funding to earn either a professional development certificate in peace and conflict studies or a master’s degree in a range of disciplines related to peace and security at one of our 7 partnering universities. Each Rotary Peace Center offers a unique curriculum and field-based learning opportunities that examine peace and conflict theory through various frameworks.

The Rotary Foundation is now accepting applications for the world-competitive Rotary Peace Fellowship. The 2016-17 academic term deadline is 31 May 2015.
Over the past 11 years, The Rotary Foundation has provided over 900 future peace leaders with peace and conflict resolution education at Rotary Peace Centers around the world. Rotary Peace Fellows are chosen for their ability to have a significant, positive impact on world peace throughout their careers.
Each year up to 100 fellows are selected to receive full funding to earn either a professional development certificate in peace and conflict studies or a master’s level degree in a range of disciplines related to peace and security at one of our 7 partnering universities. Each Rotary Peace Center offers a unique curriculum and field-based learning opportunities that examine peace and conflict theory through various frameworks.
Master’s Degree Rotary offers master’s degree fellowships at leading universities in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention. Programs last 15–24 months with a required 2–3 months practical internship.

Professional Development Certificate For those with more extensive experience in peace-related fields, Rotary offers a three month professional development program in peace and conflict studies located at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. Led by experts in the field, the program balances theoretical and practical learning while capitalizing on the diverse experience of both lecturers and participants.

Eligibility
Qualified candidates have: For the master’s program, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus three years of related work experience For the certificate program, a strong academic background, plus five years of related work experience Proficiency in English For the master’s program, proficiency in a second language (strongly recommended) Excellent leadership skills
Master’s Degree Rotary offers master’s degree fellowships at leading universities in fields related to peace and conflict resolution and prevention. Programs last 15–24 months with a required 2–3 months practical internship. Professional Development Certificate For those with more extensive experience in peace-related fields, Rotary offers a three month professional development program in peace and conflict studies located at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. There are two sessions each year made up of 25 fellows each session. Each session also includes a three week field study.
How to apply
Rotary Peace Fellows are selected through a competitive, worldwide process. Candidates begin the application online at www.rotary.org/en/peace-fellowships.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact a local Rotary club to request a club endorsement. Find a club near you at www.rotary.org/en/search/club-finder. If you are in a country where there are no Rotary Clubs please email [email protected] for assistance in connecting with a Rotary Club.
Applicants must be interviewed and endorsed by a Rotary district. Deadlines for submitting applications to local districts vary, usually falling between March and June. The 2016-17 academic term application deadline is 31 May 2015.
