This is full time post in an established Dynamic Psychotherapy Service that covers the population of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. We are part of a Specialist Psychological Therapy Service that includes a Therapy Service for People with a Personality Disorder (TSPPD) and a CBT service. This service has strong ties with the NHS Departments of Psychotherapy in Derby, Leicester and Nottingham, particularly in respect of training NHS psychotherapists through the UKCP accredited collaborative South Trent (ST). Specialist Psychological Therapies sit within the Adult Mental Health Division of the Trust We are looking for an enthusiastic and forward thinking psychotherapist, with excellent communication skills who can play an active role within the Specialist Psychological Therapies team as we move into a time of service redesign and improvement. The post is one of a team of 9.8 wte dynamic psychotherapist posts. The service is based at Gwendolen House Leicester. The post holder will carry a full clinical caseload seeing patients under supervision for individual, brief, group psychoanalytic psychotherapy and assessing new referrals. A major part of the role is the provision of individual once weekly psychotherapy and only applicants who have a psychoanalytic psychotherapy training and with experience in offering this in an NHS setting should apply. We are a training department offering training at introductory, intermediate and specialist levels. The post holder should be an experienced supervisor and tutor demonstrating the capacity to be able to contribute new ideas to the department's existing teaching activities, outreach work and consultations. Our Principal Psychotherapists are senior members of staff able to work collaboratively with their colleagues within Specialist Psychological Therapies and more widely across the trust; taking on specific projects and delegated areas of management as well as deputising for the Head of Service when required. This is a post for an experienced psychotherapist with a core mental health profession who has a qualification in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and is on the UKCP register through the CPJA section as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist or on the BPC register. A core mental health qualification is essential. It is also essential that there is extensive post-qualification experience of working within mental health within the NHS in that core profession as well as practicing in the NHS as a psychoanalytic/ dynamic psychotherapist.

This would include supervision of meals, assisting patients with meal planning, and providing emotional support with management of weight and eating difficulties. • Discharge back home and if required inform the existing mental health care team of the attendance at ED and any agreed plan

• Discharge back to GP if no further action required and sign post to a more appropriate service, informing the GP of the plan

We require enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Nurses, with relevant post registration experience. You will work as part of the established CAMHs service and would need to demonstrate flexibility and a commitment to high standards of patient care.
