SUMMER STABLEFORD. The Men’s Committee has decided to introduce a Summer Stableford Competition. This will run from the 21st November, 2015, to 23rd January, 2016, on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Details:  Run on Saturdays and Wednesdays as above.  White Tees.  Members only.  Cannot be played in conjunction with the Summer Cup Match Play.  To enter say “YES” to the “SUMMER STABLEFORD” when you print out your card.  Only cards with the “SUMMER STABLEFORD” printed on it will be entered into the competition as it will be done through the Dot Golf scoring system. Any cards with the competition manually written on the card will not be picked up in the system and entered.  The best 4 stableford scores over the competition will count.  There will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, prizes presented at Opening Day.  In the event of a tie the player with the highest score over the 4 scores will be declared the winner. If this still results in a tie the winner will be drawn by lot.

MEN’S CLOSING DAY. Closing Day is on Saturday 14th November, 2015. This will be the Captains v Vice Captains Day (Alf Currie Trophies) which was cancelled midyear. The end of year forum and prize giving will also be held on the day. ENTRIES ON THE NOTICE BOARD. MIXED CLOSING. Mixed Closing is on Sunday 15th November, 2015. There will be a shotgun start at 9.30am and the competition will be Canadian Foursomes Stableford. ENTRIES ON THE NOTICE BOARD.

SUBSCRIPTION NOTICES. These were posted out on Friday 9th October, 2015. For those on automatic payments please check that your weekly, fortnightly, or monthly payments cover the amount on your invoice. For all others your first installment is due by the end of this month. If your automatic payment is current, or if the first installment has been paid, then you can pick up your new membership card from the office.

MEMBER DETAILS. If you have a change of address, phone numbers, or e-mail address, please ensure you advise the office. Whatever your current home phone number is on our records will be the phone number entered into the next years programme.

TWILIGHT 2015/16. Twilight has now started. Book your tee times between 4.00pm and 6.00pm. You can play as an individual or enter a team in the team’s competition.

BOARD NOMINATIONS. Nominations for the Board have been received from the following: Trevor Kearney, Tony Cox, & Wendy Fraser. Robin Thompson & Peter Lewis will return for a second term. There were no nominations received for President or Vice President. Nominations for these positions will be called for from the floor at the AGM.

COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS. Nominations for the Men’s & Ladies Committees are now open for the 2016 year. Nominations forms are available from the office. Nominations close for the Men at 5.00pm on Saturday 7th November, 2015, and the Ladies 5.00pm on Tuesday 10th November, 2015. Both the Men’s (Trevor Kearney) and Ladies (Andrea Searancke) Captains have indicated that they are not standing for these positions next year. To date only 2 nominations have been received for the Men’s Committee (Phil Hogg & Merv Lee) Peter Fogarty & Barry Hall will return for a second term.

CAFÉ 18.5. The Café is open every day from 9.00am for Morning Tea, Lunch, & Afternoon Tea. Drop in anytime and bring your friends/work colleagues. Group Breakfast, Lunches, & Dinners are available with prior bookings. VOUCHERS. Are you travelling over the Summer and looking to play golf? TRUNDLER SPACE. We have trundler spaces available in the shed next to the Pro Shop. The cost for this is $48.00 per year. (Non powered sites)

COURSE.  Please do not take trundlers between the greens and the bunkers.  Please rake the bunkers after your shot has been played, including your footprints.  Please park carts at the cart parks as sign posted.  Please repair pitch marks & divots. Please see the notice boards, and the web site, on the correct procedure to fix pitch marks.  REPAIR YOUR PITCH MARK & 2 OTHERS. THIS WILL ASSIST GREATLY IN KEEPING OUR GREENS IN A SUPERB CONDITION.  Please repair your divots after a practice swing, especially on the Par 3’s.  WHERE YOU CAN PLEASE TAKE A SAND BUCKET WITH YOU TO FILL IN ANY DIVOTS YOU COME ACROSS.
