PLEASE NOTE; MIXED AND MIDWEEK LEAGUE MATCHES CAN BE PLAYED EARLIER THAN THE WEEK COMMENCING DATE IF BOTH TEAMS AGREE.

The Competitions Committee also wished that the following matters should be drawn to all competing clubs’ attention.

a) Club teams competing in League competitions must play the minimum number of matches (3 matches in a league of 5 teams or 4 matches in a league of 6 teams) or risk being omitted from that League competition for the following year.

b) Regulation 6 clearly defines a bona-fide member of the Club. It is only these members who may compete in the County Competitions.

c) If a team cancels a match within 36 hours of the scheduled start time, without good reason, it risks forfeiting that match in favour of its opponents.

d) Clubs arriving to play a match with less than a full team will forfeit that match (unless very special circumstances prevail)

e) Clubs are asked to observe the traditional courtesies and must confirm refreshment arrangements when confirming the match, but drinks must be provided as a minimum.

f) Should team captains change during the Summer PLEASE advise either myself or the organiser running that particular League or Knockout Competition. Untold disruption to an event is brought about when opposing teams do not know whom to contact.

g) Points and Rubbers only will be awarded to teams receiving a walk-over. Any team receiving a walk-over in any League Competition will be awarded two points and 1 rubber. Any team conceding a match will have 1 point and 1 rubber deducted from their total. No sets or games will be awarded for teams receiving a walk-over.
