1. Staff Miss Lightfoot Miss Munro
The staff accompanying the visit are all responsible and experienced. Children will be properly supervised at all times, but we cannot accept responsibility for children who do not do as they are told. In extreme cases parents will be notified of their child’s behaviour and asked to collect them from Winmarleigh Hall.

3. Rooms The children will share a room with members of the same sex. Each dormitory contains bunk beds, toilets, sinks and showers. Accompanying staff have their own room on the same corridor. No food or drink is allowed in any dormitory.
4. Medication If any tablets or medicine have to be taken please label them and give them to your child’s group leader.
If your child is travel sick please give them a tablet before leaving home and give them one for the return journey in a sealed envelope with their name on and hand it to their group leader. If you are worried about any problems (sleepwalking, bedwetting etc) do let us know. All problems will be dealt with confidentially.
5. Mobile Phones – must not be taken by any child. Instead your child will be able to use the payphone in the foyer of the centre but only if necessary. Accompanying staff will have their mobile phone in case of emergency.
6. Insurance The children are insured through the PGL Insurance Cover. All valuables are the responsibility of the individual children e.g. cameras, watches and clothing are taken at their own risk.
7. Money A maximum of £10 spending money may be taken. This should be made up of £1 and £2 coins in an envelope with your child’s name clearly marked on and handed to your child’s group leader for safe keeping before we set off. Please make sure your child has a named purse or wallet to store their money in. 8. To take on the day of departure Packed lunch in a comfortable shoulder bag or small rucksack. Food should be in a named, rigid, plastic container. A carton or plastic bottle of drink (not fizzy or in a glass or flask). Old, comfortable trainers should be worn ready for the first activity in the afternoon. Waterproofs in a day bag. Named suitcase/bag.
9. Clothing List Waterproof jacket Named plastic bottle Suitcase or bag Indoor shoes (or slippers/pumps) for inside the centre Old trainers for the activities Nightwear Soap, flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste and towel Hair brush/comb Hankies/tissues Underwear (enough for a daily change) Socks (enough for a daily change and a spare pair) Daytime clothes for the activities (tracksuit/shorts/leggings/jogging bottoms/t-shirts/jumpers) – THEY WILL GET WET AND MUDDY Clothes to change into for the evening activities Towel for daily use An old towel for drying self after activities Please ensure clothing is named to avoid any confusion.

Optional items Camera Book Small game/cards RULES In order to make this visit as successful as possible a few sensible rules must be followed. These are to ensure the safety of the children.
ON THE COACH 1. If you have taken a travel sickness pill sit as near to the front as possible. 2. Leave the seat near the door empty for safety reasons. 3. Only enter or leave the coach when told to do so by a member of staff.
IN THE CENTRE 1. Walk quietly up and down stairs. 2. Never shout. 3. No sweets/food/drinks etc in the bedroom. 4. Never touch the windows. They will be opened and closed by a member of staff when necessary. 5. Do not change beds or rooms. 6. Keep your room tidy. There will be a daily inspection and a prize for the best kept room and the tidiest boy and girl. 7. There will be other schools at the centre; always be considerate. Be quiet in your rooms at bedtime and in the morning. Eldon expects the best because WE ARE THE BEST! 8. Tell your group leader at once if you lose or break something, or if you are worried about anything.
REMEMBER – We will be representing Eldon. The public will notice such a large group and we want to keep our good name so we can go again. Groups These groups are for organisational purposes only e.g. giving out spending money, walking to and from activities etc.
