SAVE THE CHILDREN INTERNATIONAL ROLE PROFILE

TITLE : HRIS Systems Administrator TEAM/PROGRAMME: HR LOCATION: London GRADE: TBC CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months, with the possibility of extension CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 1: the role holder will not have contact with children and/or young people, or access to personal data about children or young people, as part of their work; therefore a police check will not be mandatory unless the content or location of the role changes, in which case the Child Safeguarding level will be reviewed.

ROLE PURPOSE: The HRIS Systems Administrator will act as the global Super-User and champion for Effective Staff and will have the highest level of permission in terms of editing data and making appropriate software adjustments. He/she will be the first point of contact for change requests and queries from HR users around the globe, responding to users in line with strict departmental governance guidelines. They will also provide training to new HR users.

The role holder will work closely with the centre HR and IT teams, and with Regional and Country HR Managers.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the post holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

SCOPE OF ROLE: Reports to: HR Director Staff directly reporting to this post: None

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Management of system data  Co-ordinate software patch updates and upgrades with IT and Lanteria  Promote data quality and global guidelines for best practice, naming conventions for items such as Job Positions, OU's etc.  Manage on-going deployment of Effective Staff  Design and configure any HR processes that require a workflow in Effective Staff  Edit organizational units and their hierarchy across all the countries  Create new Job Roles and locations to be used in the system  Set up or edit Absence Plans for countries  Management of permissions  Add or edit HR users and refine any Job Role exclusions  Carry out any bulk upload of data using the Data Import tool, future country coming onto ES or additional modules or functionality needed later Training and Documentation  Management of documentation and training material  Training of new HR users globally  Update & maintain all training materials User support & Ticket management  Log bugs with supplier and track bug resolutions

 Provide LEVEL2 support for HR users - resolution of business related issues or major bugs

QUALIFICATIONS  Minimum A level educated, preferably degree level, in an IT related subject

EXPERIENCE Essential  Solid skills in Microsoft applications especially Microsoft SharePoint 2010 or 2013  Proven experience in, or strong exposure to, system support and administration  Excellent project management and prioritisation skills; strong organizational and follow-up skills  Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to colleagues at all levels  Demonstrable ability to influence others, to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures; and to act with credibility, tact and diplomacy  Ability to manage a complex and varied workload, to work effectively under pressure and to organise and prioritise work to ensure departmental deadlines are met.  An energetic, flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team setting and across teams  Commitment to Save the Children values  Verbal and written fluency in English Desirable  Demonstrable experience implementing or developing an HRIS
