Attendance: Mark Peperkorn, Angela Zuniga-Meyer, Karen Erb, Amie Lalor, Patti Hoff, Gina Metz, Allison Malnar School Report: Mark Peperkorn Light discussion regarding:  August 24, 2017 will be 6th grade orientation

 Track teams have been doing very well this season with 7th grade placing 1st in several meets.

 Principal Chat on April 28th. The following topics were discussed: positive psychology – what comes first? Happiness or Success. Coping strategies for kids and the Netflix series 13 Reasons why.

 Rube Goldberg event – PPMS had 8 teams in Rube Goldberg and took 4 of the top 8 places.

 Securly went live and should be accessible to all parents. You should receive weekly emails regarding your child’s chrome book use.

 The Chalkboard Wall is up and running. Thank you to the Climate and Culture Committee for bringing this project to fruition.

 Excellence nominations are in full swing and many PPMS staff have been nominated.

 Additional funds have been allocated from the district toward the library renovations. Watch for updates and committees meet to discuss next steps. President’s Report: Angela Zuniga-Meyer Reported on –  Looking to fill open positions on the PTO board for next school year. o Open positions include: Spirit wear chairperson, Co-secretary, Communications person, School Pak Chairperson. o Thank you to Patti Hoff for your constant advocacy for our kids! We appreciate all you have done throughout the years. VP Report: Amie Lalor  Fun Run is almost here! o Fun Run will be held on May 19th. o All students will receive a Fun Run t-shirt. o You are able to make online donations and sign up to volunteer on the new website! Treasurer: Natasha Broxton (not present)  No report. COMMITTEE REPORTS Passive Fundraising: Kim Skaug (not present)  Murf’s on May 10th from 10:30am – 9:30pm. 20% of proceeds donated to the PTO.
