PUPPETEERS WANTED!!! The Kids on the Block Please join a team. Grant Wood AEA needs puppeteers for “The Kids on the Block”. The “Kids on the Block” are a troop of puppets, some of them handicapped. This is the twenty seventh year this exciting disabilities awareness project is being made available to third grade students within our AEA, for awareness and acceptance of disabled persons. This is a fun and satisfying experience for both puppeteers and students.

Puppeteers work in teams of three. A puppet presentation is approximately 1 hr. in length. Shows are usually scheduled at 1:00 or 1:30pm. This involves a commitment of one afternoon per month, although you can perform as often as desired. We hope to gain more teams so that every school asking for a show is able to book one.

Teams are now being formed so if you are interested in becoming a puppeteer, please complete the following and return by Friday, September 16 th to Cathy Nelson in the Northern Facility at extension 6544. If you know anyone else who is interested or who you would like to have on your team, have them contact Cathy. If you have any questions or would like more information, contact Cathy by phone, email her: [email protected], or stop by the front desk at the Sixth St. Facility. Thanks for your help!
