Cost: $30.00 per person (Includes Lunch) New Format!! This conference is a new format has been planned by volunteer directors in Monroe and Pike Counties and the NE Key. The planning committee provided input on topics, locations and instructors ~ and planned this day is just for you! You and a co-worker will choose one track and you will be able to explore, discover, reflect and strategize through one track and leave the conference with new ideas to implement in your classroom or program!

Co-workers may register in pairs. Choose one co-worker to attend the same track as you!

New School-Age Professional Development Opportunity

Here is a new School-Age professional Development Opportunity! On May 22, 2012, 7:00 pm- 8:30pm

Bullies Begone! will be presented at the Lipkin Theatre on the campus of Northampton Community College, Green Pond campus.

Ms. Wiseman is an internationally recognized expert on children, teens, parenting, bullying, social justice, and ethical leadership. She’s well known for her best-seller Queen Bees and Wannabes: Helping Your Daughter Survive Cliques, Gossip, Boyfriends and the New Realities of Girl World. It became the basis for the movie Mean Girls. She writes the monthly “Ask Rosalind” column in Family Circle magazine. She has written the “Owning Up Curriculum,” a comprehensive social justice program for grades 6-12, which is in widespread use throughout the country.

The Northeast SAC Project will offer a limited number of reduced registrations to School-age teachers and Directors in the NE Region. Registrants will pay only $10.00, instead of $25.00 and you will receive a great resource!

Nefertiti Bruce, M.Ed., is an Early Childhood Specialist and trainer for the Devereux Foundation. In her lectures and trainings, she stresses and emphasizes the importance of social and emotional health and development in children. She has dedicated her work to educating parents, teachers and administrators on the importance of paying attention to not only how our children perform academically, but also how they feel on the inside. She received her undergraduate degree from Virginia State University, and her graduate degree from Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Devereux Early Childhood Initiative, Nefertiti worked as a Preschool and Kindergarten teacher in the city of Philadelphia.
