GRADUATE STUDENT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL NOTIFICATION

This notification must be submitted prior to any trip abroad which is part of the University experience but is not specifically for transcripted credit or sponsored in some way by OU through faculty funding, scholarships or involving a faculty taking a group of student abroad for an educational experience.

If you are traveling abroad for activities which are specifically part of a program requirement for transcripted credit in the Graduate College, such as formal coursework or thesis/dissertation research, please do not complete this form. Instead, please email Education Abroad at [email protected] to begin the registration process.

If you are traveling for academic purposes to any country under U.S. Department of State travel warnings or to countries identified as state sponsors of terrorism must complete the Acknowledgment, Assumption of Risk, and Release form and schedule a meeting with the Graduate College Dean.

Additional permissions may be required if your travel and/or research involves human subjects, transportation of OU resources (including university laptop computers), defense articles or interaction with military forces (more information below).
