Addendum to the Syllabus: Schedule for ISDS2000 Business Statistics, Section L01

The schedule for this class is on the following pages. As you read the schedule, please be aware of the following:

 The schedule is provided as an addendum to the syllabus. You are responsible for all information in the syllabus and in this schedule.

 Your instructor reserves the right to alter this schedule as circumstances may dictate. All changes will be announced in the PAWS system via email and/or course home page and you are responsible for these changes.

 In some cases, you may have to work ahead of the schedule so that you, personally, can stay on schedule with the class. You are expected to complete assignments outside of class time. o Most students find that they must dedicate 2 hours to ISDS2000 Business Statistics every single day – this is especially true from Chapters 5 forward. o As a student enrolled in an online class, you are expected to do all HOMEWORK and “lecture”/ CLASSWORK online. Don’t wait for someone to prompt you, take the initiative & get started.

 Students are expected to begin the semester ready to start the class. This means that - prior to the start of the first day of class - you are expected to have purchased your textbook and access into the CONNECT system as explained in the syllabus.

 Other important scheduling information can be found in the due dates/times visible on assignments. For example, CONNECT assignments display due dates/time in the Connect system. Also, the PAWS system displays due dates/times for Learning Project and Extra Credit assignments in the course calendar.

 Finally, online students should use college resources as necessary including the Academic Support Centers ( http://www.southwest.tn.edu/asc ) and Southwest libraries (http://www.southwest.tn.edu/edu/library ). Use PAWS Email to contact your instructor. o Scheduled college closings can be found in your Southwest Student Planner , which you are required to have. The Southwest Student Planner is available online: http://www.southwest.tn.edu/catalog/12-13/StudentPlanner1213.pdf The college calendar is also available online at: http://www.southwest.tn.edu/Calendar/AcademicYear1314.htm#Fall2013 o Notification of college closings: Southwest Tennessee Community College, in partnership with Rave Wireless, offers an emergency e-mail and text-messaging service to students, faculty and staff called the Southwest Emergency Messaging System. These options will only be used in the event of an on-campus emergency, an unscheduled College closing, or a delay of or cancellation of classes due to, for example, severe inclement weather. Students, faculty, and staff can sign up for the service voluntarily. Southwest encourages students to sign up for this service because of the speed with which e-mail and text messaging will enable them to receive emergency information from College authorities. There is no charge for signing up, however, standard text messaging rates apply (you can always choose the email option). To sign up, go to this Web site: http://www.southwest.tn.edu/ems/

Exam #5: THIS IS A COMPREHENSIVE FINAL EXAM – if this is your drop grade, you are not required to take it in which case you will earn a grade of “0”, which is hopefully your lowest grade and therefore will be dropped. If you are unsure and want to ask the instructor “should I take the final” then the answer is “yes, you need to take the final.”

In all cases, this is a required test. Again, if you choose not to take it, then hopefully, this zero that you earn will be your lowest test grade, which means it will be dropped.

Window of availability opens Thursday, Dec 5 @ 5am and closes Sunday, Dec 9 @ 11:55pm

Within this window of availability, the test is timed. You will have exactly 1 attempt and 200 minutes to take the test. Per the syllabus, *no* makeup test. Instructions and password in PAWS Content.
