The students will first review the history of technology. They will review historical tech advances such as the printing press, the integrated circuit, the computer, and robots or artificial intelligence. After the students have acquired the basic knowledge of technology, they will produce a world map that illustrates the amount of world renowned companies that are relying more on technology and less on humans. The world map will help answer the Unit Question How does the promotion of more technology and less humanity affect the society? Subject Area Technology Grade Level 9-12 Approximate Time Needed 4 weeks, 90 minute classes, daily Unit Foundation Targeted Content Standards and Benchmarks Technology Education Standards Technology-Grades 9-12  Technology is a vast entity that has its tentacles on virtually everything. Humans cross paths with technology on a daily basis; i.e. Ipod, Computers, Cell Phones, etc. Technology requires innovation and imagination in order to function.
