ABOUT AMK
AMK operate a fleet of modern vehicles ranging from 6-53 seats, including a large number of purpose-built wheelchair accessible mini-buses. AMK strive to provide high quality services to local authorities, corporate clients and individuals.
AMK are seeking to recruit additional personnel to maintain, promote and enhance the Company’s image as leaders in the field of quality passenger transport.
ABOUT THE ROLE
AMK operates daily contract school journeys, including transport for children with disabilities. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of passengers from home to school. Corporate or private work may be allocated to a small number of drivers on an ad-hoc basis and in addition to the home to school contract.
HOURS
Mornings and afternoons – school term times only.
Roughly 20-25 hours per week but hours vary according to the contract allocated to you.
RATE OF PAY
Non PCV Drivers are paid at a rate of £7.45 an hour with £6.65 as basic and the £0.80 as holiday pay rolled in. Holiday pay is payable every 4 months following a school holiday period.
PCV drivers are paid at a rate of £8.57 with £7.65 as basic and the £0.92 as holiday pay rolled in.
Coach drivers are paid at a rate of £9.65 with £8.65 as basic and the £1 as holiday pay rolled in.
REQUIREMENTS
Upon offer of employment, Drivers must obtain a Private Hire Licence, organised through the Company, which will involve a satisfactory medical examination and successful clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
