JOB TITLE: Import/Export Coordinator REPORTS TO: Production Control Manager CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt STATUS: Full Time WC Class Code: 8810 DEPARTMENT: 601

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Import/Export Coordinator will work with the Production Control Manager to ensure trade operations run smoothly. Goods traded across international lines are subject to multiple regulations. Import/export coordinator must have knowledgeable about these laws and work to ensure that global sales are carried out without a hitch. Import/export coordinator manages all of the paperwork that is required to ensure that the shipment of purchased or traded goods occurs efficiently and, most importantly, legally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Arrange domestic and international shipments prepare commercial documents for shipments. 2. Create sales and inventory reconciliation reports; assembles details (document requirements, routing instructions, tariff codes, etc.) 3. Prepare documents for ocean and air freights for customs clearance. 4. Handle inquiries and resolve complains relating to import/export issues. 5. Ensure all imported and exported items are correctly classified. 6. Check the customs broker’s invoices for accuracy. 7. Maintain customs recordkeeping system. 8. Ensure international shipping documents are completed correctly. 9. Track cargo from our facility to final destinations. 10. Maintain strong lines of communication with both internal departments and external clients. 11. Maintain import data and verify the accuracy of the information. 12. Arrange communications between national and/or international customers 13. Arrange shipments, prepare and confirm order approval, handle product information and release invoices.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS  Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing  Interprets and applies policies, procedures, and regulations relating to assigned activities  Takes responsibility and performs administrative support duties utilizing independent judgment  Interprets and follows oral and written instructions with attentiveness to detail  Maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with some college preferred.  Experience in import and export documentation with thorough knowledge of import/export regulations, domestic/international protocols, procedures, terminology and documentation preferred  Experience working with customs brokers, forwarders and international partners preferred  Knowledge of both national and international procedures for receiving or delivering goods/products preferred.  Knowledge and understanding of domestic and world economy; familiarity with international documentation, HTSUS and Schedule B and international trade regulations highly desirable.  Proficiency in an MRP/SAP type system, Word, Excel, and Outlook  Knowledge of shipping and receiving and compliance documentation preferred  Excellent oral/written communication skills; fluent in a foreign language (Spanish) is highly desirable  Strong client relationship management skills with proven success in being customer-focused and results driven in an environment J024C COMMAND MEDICAL PRODUCTS, INC. WORKING CONDITIONS  Good work environment; some exposure to warehouse, clean rooms and manufacturing areas.  Work is primarily performed in an office setting at a computer, sitting or standing for extended periods of time.  Physical effort is needed to move, lift and carry office supplies and materials and distribute reports.  The nature of the work has frequent interruptions  Requires strong communications skills.
