RIVERVIEW TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES FOR MONTH OF OCTOBER 2016 Minutes to be approved November 10, 2016

Meeting agendas were posted at the town's three posting boxes by Clerk Barthel on October 6, 2016. The meeting was called to order by Ann Hogan, Town Chairperson on October 11, 2016, 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall/Fire Station located at 15471 State Highway 32. Board members present were Chairperson Hogan, Supervisor Booth, Supervisor Rzepka, Clerk Barthel and Treasurer Smith. All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. There were approximately 14 townspeople present. The chairperson asked if the Open Meeting Law had been complied with. The Clerk so certified. MINUTES Copies of the minutes of the September 13, 2016 Board Meeting minutes had been given to the Board members. A motion was made by Booth and seconded by Rzepka “to accept the Minutes.” Unanimous Approval. REPORTS FINANCIAL REPORT: The September Financial Report was reviewed. Ending balance in town regular accounts as of September 30, 2016 is $ 602,608.02. Report accepted BILLS AND VOUCHERS: Approval of check #14444 Wells Fargo and checks # 15001 through #15038 Laona State Bank in General Account. Motion “to approve and pay the bills as presented” made by Rzepka and seconded by Booth. Unanimous approval. COMMUNICATIONS: 1) Darcy will work on the Town website before leaving at the end of October. ROAD REPORT: 1) Nolting Rd. issues of visibility, Mike will call County to check on our options. FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT Riverview Fire Department by Rob: 2 calls to same address at two separate times and it was a structure fire. Crooked Lake Fire Department by Jackson: no calls EMS ADMINISTRATIVE COMMITTEE REPORT: Information was provided by Town Chair person. The next meeting will be held on Thursday October 20, 2016 at 5:00pm at Riverview Town Hall. There will be a final determination meeting of the 5 Towns on Wednesday November 2nd, 6:00pm at Doty. AMBULANCE REPORT by Judy Wanner and Supervisor Booth: 1) Building addition still on hold. 2) Budget down slightly due to change in Insurance Company. LAND USE REPORT: by Supervisor Rzepka: No meeting, nothing to report. CEMETERY REPORT by Dick Booth: 1) The budget was established at the 10/3/16 meeting. A Motion “to approve the cemetery budget” was made by Rzepka and seconded by Booth. Unanimous approval. 2) 15 burials and sold 5 more lots. ANIMAL CONTROL REPORT: Nothing to report. RECYCLING REPORT by Dick Booth: A motion “to approve the 3 year Oconto County Contract to maintain a county recycling program” was made by Rzepka and seconded by Booth. Unani- mous approval. WISCONSIN TOWNS REPORT by Ann Hogan: Nothing to report. LAKE ASSOCIATION REPORT: by Ann Hogan: Nothing to report. SEVEN TOWN BOARD MEETING: Nothing to report. OCONTO COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: 1) Oconto County Discovery Guide 2017, received several event dates that Kris will submit later this week. OLD BUSINESS: a. None. NEW BUSINESS a. Board has agreed to attend Budget meeting on Tuesday October 25th at 3:30. b. Dog park update- a sign is there. c. News letter- let Ann know of anything that you want to add. The letter will be available when citizens come to pay taxes. d. A motion “to change the Clerks hours to: Tuesday 12:30-3:30, Wednesday 9:30-3:30 and Thursday 9:30-12:30, effective 11/1/16” was made by Booth and seconded by Rzepka. Unanimous approval. e. The 2017 Assessor contract is the same amount as last year. A motion “to accept the 2017 Assessor Contract” was made by Booth and seconded by Rzepka. Unanimous approval. Val Baker announced that she will be retiring at the end of 2017 and will assist in the process of searching for new assessor. f. November meeting rescheduled due to Election on 11/8. A motion “to change the next board meeting to Thursday November 10th at 7:00pm” was made by Rzepka and seconded by Booth. Unanimous approval.

ADJOURNMENT Meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday November 10th, 2016 at the Riverview Town Hall/Fire Station at 15471 Highway 32 at 7:00 p.m.
