SIDNEY FINK MEMORIAL AWARD NOMINATION FORM

There are up to four $100-$200 awards given to Oakland University student employees who have demonstrated an aptitude and ongoing commitment to improve race relations. This annual award is sponsored by Dr. Robert Fink, Associate Professor of Counseling in the School of Education and Human Services, in memory of his father, Sidney, who worked as a business and community leader in an inner city for forty years. The award is to recognize and encourage students who have contributed to campus programming and interpersonal communication to improve race relations at Oakland University.

Please nominate a student employee, who works on OU’s campus, whose actions can be described as enhancing understanding, tolerance, and community-building among different cultural groups on campus. Both graduate and undergraduate students can be recognized for this award. All nominees must possess a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Nomination forms are due Friday, March 21, 2008 to the Center for Student Activities Office, 49 Oakland Center. Recipients of the Sidney Fink Memorial Award will be honored at the Student Activities & Leadership Awards Night on Thursday, April 10, 2008.
