WHITEHALL PRODUCTS CELEBRATES 75 YEARS OF MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE

Whitehall, MI; November 15, 2015. Whitehall Products LLC, an industry leader in the manufacturing and distribution of Home and Garden Accessories, is celebrating their 75th anniversary.

Established in 1941, the Company is renowned as the world’s largest manufacturer of cast aluminum Personalized Name & Address Plaques. Whitehall is also a world leader in the sales of Weathervanes, which began as the original product line of the company 75 years ago. Over the past 20 years the Company has also established a leadership role in the sales and distribution of fine accessories for the Home and Garden. These include decorative Mailboxes, Sundials, Birdbaths, Bird Feeders, Tea Lanterns, Hose Holders, Nature Hooks, and indoor/outdoor Clocks and Thermometers. The products are highly regarded for their elegance of design and incredible detail. Most items are crafted from recycled aluminum and completed with a variety of paint processes to achieve desirable colors and patinas. Other quality products from Whitehall are made from ceramic or fine metals such as copper and brass.

One of Whitehall’s crowning achievements came in 1984 when the Company built the World’s Largest Weathervane. The fully functional Weathervane, located at the foot of White Lake in Montague, MI, measures 48’ tall with an arrow length over 26’ long. The 14’ long ornament atop the arrow is a replica of the lumbering schooner, Ella Ellenwood, which made White Lake her homeport in 1900. In 1901, the ship sank in rough Lake Michigan waters off the shore of Milwaukee. The next spring, a section of the ship’s nameplate amazingly floated 60 miles across the big lake and was found in the waters of her homeport of White Lake.

Whitehall Products markets decorative Home and Garden Accessories throughout the United States, Canada, Western Europe, Japan and Australia. Products are sold through independent retailers in the Hardware, Lawn & Garden, Gift, Fireplace, and Building Supply channels. Whitehall items are also found in Home Center Chains, Mail Order Catalogs, and Internet Dealer websites. In recent years, many of the major home builders in America have turned to Whitehall to provide their address plaques and mailboxes for their new home developments. Whitehall’s manufacturing facilities are located in the cities of Whitehall and Montague, Michigan.
