Tall Oaks Crossing Homeowners Association, Inc. Meeting of the Board of Directors Minutes September 1, 2005 Regular Session The September 1, 2005 Tall Oaks HOA meeting was called to order at 7:56 by HOA President Bruce Johnson. Minutes from the June 2, 2005 meeting were approved as written. Committee Reports Community Affairs No Report Grounds and Landscape Bruce Johnson moved to approve the lighting proposal using $500 (Neighborhood Watch) to help defray the cost and prepay $1300 for next year Vote: For 5 Against:0 Motion adopted. Architectural and Covenants No Report Welcoming No Report Website No report Millie Tyler will review the policy recommendations from the attorney. Management Report John Sheehy reported that he and Deborah Stafford attended the follow-up mtg regarding the floodplain concern Plane Tree Way. MNCPPC will permit the HOA to remove six (6) trees from the area. Old Business Hall Road: rezoned to the approved plan so to address what will go in the area. Retail, homes and Library. New Business There were questions and concerns regarding:
Opening of the back road Speed of cars on Pin Oak Parkway Include community safety in the newsletter Excessive mosquitoes and trash at tot lot off of Pin Oak Pkwy – management will look into price of spraying the area. Remind homeowners to pick up after their pets.
Deborah Stafford mentioned the mailbox burning incident and that the homeowner involved suggested obtaining security service be considered. Rebecca Ligon-Lewis announced that she was stepping down as the newsletter editor. Open Discussion Homeowner Angie Jackson suggested that the Board members sit with the Plane Tree Way homeowners to discuss strategies in ways to move forward and decided what is most effective in getting the officials to act on the issue. Bruce Johnson suggested that the board get in touch with the officials and encouraged the residents to do the same. Homeowner concerned that the chain on the tennis courts were too tight. Question was also raised at to the removal a of “Hoop Kids” sign. Lauren McCarthy asked the board for permission to distribute notices announcing a personal needed items drive for Hurricane Victims at the tennis court lot on September 10, 2005. Board approved the usage of the tennis court lot and the distribution of the notices just as long as Tall Oaks was not listed as a partner.
