1. Treat All Customers with Dignity and Respect

McBride Code of Ethics

1. Treat all customers with dignity and respect.

2. A customer’s experience should meet or exceed our advertised expectations.

3. Help consumers make good financial decisions.

4. Compete with others while adhering to the law.

5. Keep accurate and honest records.

6. Report all income documents appropriately.

7. Always provide proof for income and tax return documents.

8. Conduct oneself in an ethical manner that respects fellow employees.

At McBride the code of conduct is designed to provide employees within the organization as well as external customers what we are about in terms of our ethical conduct and how they can expect to be treated. Both the customer and the McBride employee then have a clear understanding and gauge by how to measure our actions on an ethical basis.

The code of conduct consist of eight simple steps that we can follow to ensure that we are always acting in a manner that is both legally, morally and ethically correct. People should be able to read the code of ethics and clearly understand where the company stands in terms of how it values the customer and the relationship with other companies as well as the government and other organizations. By ensuring that the list is small we maintain the ability to allow the code to be easily understood while not being so detailed such that it can be interpreted broadly. Ethics, morality and social issues all surround the code of conduct as they are all related. If someone is an employee of McBride then we want to ensure that their social image reflects that of the organization. If someone believes in fair treatment of individuals at work and doesn’t do the same outside the organization there can be a disconnect that may reflect negatively with customers. While McBride can’t control someone’s personal life they can reasonably expect individuals to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner in social situations. The same holds true of ethical issues in that someone who is an employee should reasonably be expected to conduct themselves in an ethical manner when outside the organization whether they are working or not. The moral issues should come along with the ethical and social issues as well and while McBride doesn’t legislate our moral code we do believe that morally correct actions benefit the company, customers and society as a whole.

Our goal in the mortgage business is to help individuals, families, employees and society. Our actions should reflect our code of ethics.
