Important Steps to Follow for Degree Completion-Specialist Degree guide: http://ed.mnsu.edu/edleadership/docs/specialist/important_steps_to_follow_for_degree_completion.doc IMPORTANT NOTICE:  Students without a teaching license must also complete EDLD 697, 3credits, an additional requirement prior to their EDLD 698 internship.  Director of Special Education license: most enter this program with a current teaching license in Special Education.  Specialist cohorts offered in Edina at 7700 France are designed for students to take two classes per semester. During the school year (fall and spring semesters) the classes are held on Saturdays, one class in the morning and one class in the afternoon. The classes meet 5 times per semester with the rest of the work online and/or in schools. During the summer the first class is generally held in May on a Saturday, with the remaining classes meeting mid-week, four additional times.
