Beaver Street Fisheries strives to be the easiest supplier of seafood and meat products with whom our customers and trading partners conduct business.
In efforts to remain at the forefront of global supply chain efficiency and effectiveness as well as aligned to the current and future expectations of our trading partners, Beaver Street Fisheries is soliciting information from our most important trading partners regarding your strategic deployment of supply chain and logistics.
The GS1-128 logistics barcode format supports end-to-end supply chain visibility and traceability through encoding item numbers, lot numbers, use-by dates, catch weights, and country of origin into a single barcode on individual cases, pallets, containers, and other shipping units.
The GS1-128 is being adopted across the retail and foodservice industries as a standard practice for maintaining traceability and is recommended by the National Fisheries Institute.
Beaver Street Fisheries intends to implement and deploy the GS1-128 barcode on all cases and shipping units by January 2018. We would like to set up a conference call discussion with supply chain leadership on the customer side and the vendor/supplier side to evaluate current or planned deployment of the GS1-128 barcode throughout our interconnected supply chain.
