1. Executive Director’s reflection Blessings to all of you on this day that commemorates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.! As we honor Dr. King this day, it’s a good day for us to recall some of the profound statements he made that still guide our lives today. For instance, two of my favorites are: “Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be. This is the interrelated structure of reality.” Or “A right delayed is a right denied.” (read more…)

2. PLEASE NOTE! NACC office will be closed January 27-28, 2011 due to move. Please note that the NACC office will be closed January 27-28, 2011 due to moving from current office space to a new one. Also the NACC email and website will be down at least January 27, 2011. Any emails sent that day will be lost. We will be up as quickly as we can. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

3. Next NACC Now will be sent in three weeks, February 7, 2011! Due to our move to a new location the end of January, we will be sending the next NACC Now in three weeks rather than two weeks. Look for it on Monday, February 7, 2011. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

4. NACC office files going “in the cloud” A week before Christmas all the NACC membership and certification materials of each member were sent to Datastore (www.datastoreweb.com) to be scanned and converted into electronic, web-based records for easy access and management. Going forward, all member files will be scanned and stored electronically. Be assured, all records are secure and private, and we will have several back-ups! This will help our NACC staff better serve our members by ensuring even safer storage of and easy accessibility to their documents.

5. Last call for NACC members to apply to be NACC Board candidates! The nomination process for members to submit their interest in being a candidate for the NACC board ends January 31, 2011.
