Mike reported that in addition to the points mentioned in his report, maintenance work on the outside of the building was progressing. He anticipated that the automated barrier would be delivered this week. A technician was examining the feasibility of creating a wireless link between here and Tranent to improve internet access. This is to be funded by the IT Department.
7. Celebration Event Marlene thanked Sandra, Mike and the staff for their hard work in preparation for this event, but regretted that CDO’s from other areas in the cluster had not done more to encourage their volunteers along, thus missing an opportunity to maximise resources and share ideas.
8. Lease. Further information from the Legal Department is awaited.
9. Fund Raising Group 1. Craft Fair 20th November. 28 tables in the Main Hall and 11 in the Youth Activities Room have been booked. Publicity is forthcoming.

12. Car Park. All felt that the new footpath was a big improvement. It was noted that the barrier (supposedly vandal-proof) had been vandalised within an hour. Cllr. Currie advised that the Legal Department will be dealing with the suppliers. The Police are following this matter up. There followed some discussion about the CCTV which is now monitored at Macmerry.

Sandra reported on a meeting she had attended and was asked to help bring people together from across the cluster (ELC Centres/Libraries/Museum) to plan activities. It was agreed that this should be discussed fully at the next meeting but given the timescale for the registration of events the group would have to meet soon.
