The UCT Graduate School of Business is looking for an organized, proactive individual to join its Open Academic Programmes and Executive MBA office.

We invite applications for the above position from dynamic and energetic individuals with strong administrative skills and experience, a strong client focus, and excellent communication abilities. The purpose of this position is to provide administrative assistance and support to the OAP and EMBA offices.

Reporting to the OAP and EMBA Directors, the incumbent will be required to:  assist with logistical and administrative preparation for programmes including student registration, orientation, graduation, programme co-ordination, etc.  maintain programme documentation, records and database  perform financial administration including the accurate and timeous processing of all invoices and lecturer payments according to UCT policy and procedures and keeping accurate records of all payments processed;  work with the GSB marketing department on events such as graduation ball, programme functions, etc. ;  prepare monthly reports and feedback on OAP and EMBA operations;  maintain OAP and EMBA section of the GSB website and GSB notice boards;  liaison with faculty and students on programme administrative matters;  setting up of meetings and venues;  student administration which includes capturing on PeopleSoft  manage and provide departmental support to the EMBA and OAP directors such as PA duties and office management (ordering of stationary, attendance registers, submission of HR forms etc.) and for both the OAP and EMBA offices.

The successful candidate will need to have:  Approximately 3 to 5 years appropriate administration and co-ordination experience;

 Experience working on PeopleSoft would be advantageous

 Excellent organisational skills, planning and multi-tasking skills; the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;

 Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and manage internal/external working relationships successfully;

 A high level of diplomacy, emotional intelligence and personal integrity;

 An ability to work independently with minimal supervision, exercise judgement; establish priorities and display personal initiative;

 Excellent communication skills (written, presentation and verbal) and the ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff and students;

 A high level of proficiency in MS Office applications. The successful candidate should ideally have a relevant office management qualification. As with all positions at the GSB, integrity is an absolute requirement and candidates will need to possess a value system that embraces the GSB values, vision and strategy.

The annual remuneration package, including benefits, will fall between R 203 905 and R 232 698.
